From what I understand, Bill Bowen is OFFICIALLY in good standing, not having been DF'd. He voluntarily removed himself from the position of presiding overseer when his concerns vis-a-vis child molestation were not being addressed.
And, in practice, he is being shunned by his Kentucky congregation. But they have not brought any charges against him, either out of fear or out of lack of anything with which to charge him!
Plm, this guy is for real! And his concern for the children is real too.

Gopher I understand you have a lot more faith in him then I obviously. You may have good reasons. But I can't find any from my side of the fence so you'll have to excuse me. There is just something about something that really smells bad and i have not yet put my finger on it. It BUGs the hell out of me. Shell Shok if you will, whatever.

I guess you could call it intuition! I don't read hearts, really!
But as far as Bill and his Silentlambs campaign, my take on it is this: if it's fraudulent, he's sure going through a lot of pain and sacrifice on behalf of the fraud. I don't know him personally, but I do know he's put his finger on a real and vital issue that cannot be ignored.
As with anyone who takes a chance like he does, and puts himself at the forefront, he will have doubters and detractors. Such is life.
I guess maybe if you read www.silentlambs.org some more, it may sink in for you that this is for real. Maybe.

Bill is a good man and "for real" but I doubt you are from your previous posts. Those posts are seen by going to the members directory here up at the top, clicking then reading them.

I don't believe that there is a more sincere and caring person that Bill Bower. His assistance to those who were and are abused by ones in the organization is heartrendering and it is hard to hear someone speak ill of him. It is obvious that he has undergone great personal sacrifice in order to advance his cause. I, for one, hold him in high regard. My hat is off to you, Mr. Bowen.

I wouldn't be at all surpprised to find out that at least half of you are infact bill bowen. No one on this board has been able to answer ligit q's regarding him but you do manage to get pretty damn defensive when I ask about him. Something stinks. I should have listend long ago before posting in the first place you are all a bunch of FAKES.

You are making some broad statements here. You say that you are the only one here who hasn't deceived anyone. Well, pray tell, how have I deceived anyone? I am sure that there are others who will ask the same question.
So, half of us are Bill Bowen and we are all fakes. I find that to a very peculiar conclusion. Why do I find this strange? Because there are so many different writing styles here and so many different sets of experiences.
Now, in terms of background and expertise, do you think that AlanF, JanH, Amazing, Waiting, Julie, Tina, Teejay, Mommy, Zazzu, Simon, Prisca, JT, TR, a host of others and Larc are all interchangeable parts? You've got to be kidding. -
