If you subscribe to the ‘religion as virus’ theory, then all the Witness religion has to do is keep finding new hosts to feed on- and as the Governing Body is now a committee the virus will keep living- unless they all die off at once!

It'll keep evolving to whatever incarnation it needs to be to keep money coming in.
Even if the GB threw up their hands and admitted they had been scammed by their predecessors, the likes of my family would step into the breach and evolve into whatever they needed to be to so that they didn't have to admit to the crimes they had committed against their god and their families.

I think for the first time ever, I hear people making plans into the future, say a decade or more-- and those plans do not include the "new system."
This sort of apathy would have been unheard of 20 years ago, but here it is. This is the sort of stuff that must have the GB mad with frustration.
