There is a guy at my local hall that fits the mold perfectly. Literally shows up to each meeting 45 minutes early. Sits in the front row. Bobs and sways to the kingdom melodies while he sings off key and then after the final prayer makes eye contact with you and says "wasn't that SUCH a lovely song?"

I remember years back, there was a Pioneer/Servant who was brown nosing the CO and everyone else. I can't remember what he was shooting for back in the day. Well he contacts one of the CO's who was having car trouble and tells him I'm a mechanic. I'm not. I'm a gear-head and I used to tinker with my cars, but a mechanic is a stretch. Well I showed up. Looked at the car, and directed him to a mechanic. Brother Brown nose wasn't happy, but that's life

I agree Shirly. The uber JW's always gave me the creeps. We had a "brother" like that. He appeared out of nowhere, only gave his 1st name. Cards never arrived. Then he disappeared.

Yep yep, brown nosers and ass kissers are rampant. Nepotism is also an everyday occurrence. I both benefited and suffered due to nepotism during my adventure in the JW’s.
I also witnessed people who were caught quite literally with their pants down or with a needle in their arms and due to who their family was they either got off the hook with a private reprove or public repeatedly. I know a guy who was public and privately reproved 3 times over about 18 months. This was because his grandfather greased the palms of the JC and then donated a hefty sum towards a needed remodel on the KH. In the end his grandson ended up with a bastard child and he even OD’d once and fried his organs as a result.
I’m generally against JC’s in general but they do have a place and can be of service for people needing a wakeup call.
