  actually we can find a lot of the ot in egypt. the jews would have you believe they were great , but they have simply stolen the history of egypt. the story of solomon is a direct copy from his conquests, booty, temple construction, empire boundaries, titles etcof the pharoah amentohep iii.a google search will find many interesting articleswhich are easily verified by scripture and a read about said pharaoh

  in short the jews of the ot, are waanabe egyptians. the more you look the more you look the more similarities you will find.

  The thing that really worries me about this account is how big the 'camp' would have to be to accomodate 3 million plus all their animals.

  The real problem comes when you want to 'spend a penny'. You have to go outside of the camp.

  Now I am of the age when I have to make several nocturnal journeys each night and the thought.... well you get the idea.

  Why would anyone set up their tent in the middle of the encmapment if they would have to walk a mile past thousands of tents to do number two's outside the camp & the next morning 2 miles to find a patch of sand without a turd in it & the next day 3 miles.............

  ALSO why would you want to pitch up on the edge of the encampment knowing there would be buttock clenching hoardes hardly making it past your tent flap before feverishly scraping a hole in the sand??

  God removed all evidence of His miraculous feeding and caring for the Israelites all those years.

  What? No he didn't. He had some mana saved as evidence for future generations. And too keep that evidence safe he had it stuck inside the ark of the covenant where nobody was allowed to look at it.

  But now that the mosaic law is no longer in effect we can look at it as evidence all we want!!!

  WE today have a very sensitive nose for foul things such as poop. People in the past, even just a hundred years ago got by living in their own filth. All streets in the past were literally open sewers with dead rotting animals and poop. I know the Jews had customs about waste disposal, however they would have more stomache than us. Funnily enough the Koran has pages and pages devoted on how and where and with what hand one poops.

  Given that muslims share many customs of ancient jews one has to wonder how this was all managed.
