    Solving Its Generation Doctrine

Today I added a new article to my blog. Many have wondered how Watchtower’s Governing Body went about making the change it did to its generation doctrine. My article puts the change into visual form. More importantly, a newly discovered photograph offers some answers.

My article is titled Solving Its Generation Doctrine and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2012/03/solving-its-generation-doctrine.html

LOL Marvin. Thanks for the humor. Is there something significant about the bow-tie?

The guy with his hand raised looks like Lyman Swingle. He always wore bow ties, and Ray Franz says he was a bit of a quiet rebel.

There is always "one" in a bunch of this sort. The toon tries to be faithful to this oxymoronic atypical norm.

I think we should bear in mind that between 1995 and 2008 the Watchtower taught that the "generation" was the wicked generation who would see the end of the system. That interpretation had already solved the problem that the 1914 generation was dying out, and the new "wicked generation" could, in principle, have stretched indefinitely. That's what makes the new wacky overlapping generations teaching such an astounding misstep. Not only is it patently absurd, but it was also completely unnecessary.

After not understanding the generation change at all I have gained complete understanding and it now makes perfect sense.

I hope I still understand it once the alcohol wears off!

I'd accepted over the many years all the changes as being 'new light' as we'd always been led to believe but it was the sheer absurdity of this 'overlapping generation' that made me finally realise it was just a cover up... so what else was being covered up? If it was truth why would they need to cover anything up? How far can the 'truth' be stretched?!

I bet there's a photograph of that bit of historical lunacy, too. I'll check my archive.
