A few weeks ago, I visited my mom and a couple of elders and a young MS also came by to see her. While I was there, the elders invited me to the Memorial and I was very polite with them and thanked them for their invitation.
I just spoke to my mother and she said the elders saved 2 seats for my mother and I ! They seemed confident that I would show up.

Well I hope you went LOL More importantl I hope you were part of their car group or immediate family. They just can't be saving seats all willy nilly like that!
Simply being nice to them and cordial gave them the impression that I was going.

I could see no reason to ever go in a KH and sit there and listen to mind numbing bullshit ever again!
I remember when the Memorial was so crowded that men gave up their seats for the ladies. I guess that wasn't the case where your mother went if they managed to "save" one.
My mom's handicapped so they made sure she (and I ) had a place to sit.
I think there were a few empty seats last nite... I remember when it was standing room only..
We had lots of empty seats last night. That did not used to happen.
