if youre talking about ww3, youre once again (or still i suppose) out of your gourd. we will no doubt see more terrorism, and we will no doubt deal with it just as well as we have dealt with 9/11.

The financial system is being rocked with increasing tremors of volatility in advance of the onrushing wall of water.

oh yes, the financial system is being rocked alright.....january retail sales rose 1.2 percent (keep in mind that consumer spending accounts for 2/3 of the economy), existing home sales soared in the month of feburary up more than 16 percent (record pace), and despite enron (which is supposedly having a grave affect on the markets) the dow hasnt lost a dime since january, and still stands over 2000 points higher than the year lows......WHEW, i cant believe the financial system is even surviving these "tremors", and even more unbelievable is that its already going on march, and the central banks arent bankrupt yet! LOL.

glad we could be of service.......you know, personally your gloom and doom proclamations are always an encouragement for me as well, for we all know what a contrarian indicator you are. im reminded of the wager thread (especially the posts right after 9/11), and all your negative talk about what how poorly the market was going to perform, and how "stock brokers" were mere hucksters trying to fool people into investing, and "here comes the crash", etc..........shortly after that, the market began its glorious climb of over 2000 points! what a great market gauge, the great yk, LOL.
