Anecdotal evidence is not convincing. Why not eat curry?
I know cayenne pepper as an antirape tool in the 1950s and 1960s.
Scientific evidence is nice. I don't understand the philosophy that if medicine embraces something, you automatically reject it.
It seems as tho there should be an individual evaluation, taking into account your circumstances and the biochemmistry of the agent.
Western meds have made me ill but they have saved my life on far more occasions.

Hot and spicy, all the time! And I never get colds. When other people complain about *ahem* bathroom problems from beans & spice, I say "Eat them every day! your colon is telling you it needs cleaning!"
