To summarise. They (119 ministries) beleive:
1. They don't know everything, and are not inspired by God.
2. There will be literal fulfilment of scripture in moon, stars, 1260 days ... etc.
3. Their bible interpreted dates point to Christ's return will be in 2016.

Yes I didn't think it made any more sense than 1914, and certinally no less sense.
I thought he was sane because back in eary 2008 he convinced me to invest most of my retirement funds in Gold and Silver. That worked out quite well.

Pastor Chuck Russell used to come up with some alluring get rich schemes such as Miracle Wheat. He also had a penchant for endlessly talking about the future and what it would hold in the misnamed "divine plan".
"Should we shave our beards?" and "should women wear tzit tzits?"

The video is a hoax. Not only is the video and audio quality very good for 1980, but the interviewer is never heard, nor is the alleged program title ever stated.
The individual is conveniently unnamed in the video, but purported (in comments) to be 'Jacques Nietzermann', based on a photo of a newspaper clipping that 'believers' claim is a picture of the same guy (in which the deformed finger was almost certainly photoshopped). However, the newspaper article reports about a murderer who was captured in France in 1980, and not in California.
The actor was also retroactively photoshopped into other material to make it appear he's from 1980. (Not camera shy for a fugitive.)
Additionally, the video has only surfaced in 2012 among the '2012 end of the world' nutters, but the September 11 conspiracy nutters would have been all over this video if it were from 1980.
There's also a CD case laying in front of the carousel box.
