I'm not doubting the 1980s video is most likely fake. I'm now wondering who'd go to that much trouble, and what they have to gain from it (apart from making a viral video)?

I don't understand why so many people insist on picking dates when everyone else who has done so has made a fool of himself...
There are still many differing viewpoints on the significance of 1914 between the Society, other religions' intrepretations, and secular scholars.
However, they all can agree on the pivotal year of 1922 when the horn-blowing began in Cedar Point Ohio.

Someone's done a lot of research!
Hardly. Took about five minutes to debunk this drivel.

One of the theories is that the video was simply an assignment for a film course.
There is a lot of recent "sightings" and "whistleblowing" to try and get us to belive we are to be invaded by "Aliens" and only a united World Government will be able to save us, I think Project Bluebeam is along these lines, so I belive the video might be part of this deciept.
As for the 2016 date, as I cannot be bothered to go through all that 119 ministries stuff, are you able to summarise how they arrive at this date please?
I have my own theory that if Babylon the Great took Jersualem in 1948 then if the 70 years of the original Babylon is a pattern, then the rulership of the Beast or New World Order will be 42 months that include when they destroy BTG in 2018, so 2016 comes in that time frame.
Also, when President Medvedev at a G8 summit a couple of years back, gave everyone a sample coin of a possible One World Global currency, the article said they where hoping to impliment such by 2016, (they just have to crash the individual currencies first).

You know this very question could be asked about any of the myriad religious groups that have arisen over the centuries, many with long, elaborate so-called "divinely" inspired books or sets of "intuited" instructions (e.g., Mormons, Seventh-Day Adventists, Christian Scientists, Scientologists). There's no underestimating the huge amount of sheer creativity and toil (and deception) humans will put into something if, in their delusional or dishonest frame of mind, they want to make a religious name for themselves.
Lesson 1: Never ever mistake the amount of time people put into something as an indication of either their sincerity or the "rightness" of what they are doing. If you do, you'll be fooled every single time.
