THE CULT!
well so much for a few kind words from your Father who is concerned for your spiritual welfare. eeek
I'm not one of Jehovah's Witnesses and the brothers won't be able to trust me when the time comes to go undercover due to being attacked by the
authorities.
This kind of professed mentality is similar to many other religious cults in that it provokes a state of paranoina, as well as a means of self identification
that the said organization will eventually be persecuted ( just like in Jesus's day ) therefore they must be doing exactly what Jesus wants.
Jim Jones and his cult preached that the authorities were going to eventually break up his congregation and go after his followers.
David Koresh preached that the authorities would eventually come after his followers under the guise that they were true worshipers
in his cult following. The list goes on.
I guess it works
Fear works, creates the power with control over people, has since man started to gather in tribal civilizations
I think that if they can convince you that the world is against you then you will cling to them and their false hope with renewed strength.
They want you to believe that theirs is the only hope.
I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
When I was a very young lad, I was playing around with young girls my age, My Elder Dad did not like that, when we went door to door. He said "you better get your life in order or Armageddon will come very fast before you know it." He was very angry, that was years ago, he has mellowed down ever since.
Go undercover! Meet in secret?
When? Can't wait....
