I'm not one of Jehovah's Witnesses and the brothers won't be able to trust me when the time comes to go undercover due to being attacked by the authorities.

On a more positive note, the authorities won't come after you when the JWs are being "attacked by the authorities". Did you ask him if he'd like you to bring him a cake with a file in it when he's in prison?

Quqon the positive side he noticed that your spirituality had dropped and tried to do something about it. If he had allowed you to drift away unnoticed that would have been a reason for criticism also.

However his approach was deeply flawed and there was no concern for you as a person. E.g. Were you well? were you ok ? Did you have a problem he could help you with? Did you know you were loved and he wanted to help? This conversation was more like a soldier being spoken to by a commanding officer not a warm father son chat. This is the issue I have with the organisation that people are robbed of their humanity and turned into cold human beings. there is no love among themselves otherwise many of these conversations would be quite different.

It's funny. Even if somebody shows genuine concern and inquires after a person's health/well-being, it gets reinterpreted:

"How's Debbie?"

"*Sigh* She's not been to meetings in ages and we never see her in service."

"I didn't ask that. I asked how she was."

"Oh she's fine. She had a bad chest infection but is over that now and she's getting a new job and ..." [finally a normal answer to the question]

Back to topic. Not going to meetings and in FS means you'd rat out people you know and probably like to cause them harm? That doesn't say much for the father's faith in his son's character. Sheesh.

Funny how the GB authorized their legal team in australia to deny the existance of the GB and the 'faithful slave' in order to avoid accepting responsibility for the wrongdoing there, but they claim they'll look after their 'sheep' when the shit hits the fan. Seems to me like when the governments go after the wtbts they will fuck over the rank & file in a New York minute. I think their secret plan to go undercover is really more like 'You idiots are on your own'...
