I'm generally super liberal when it comes to most things. Something about breastfeeding a pre-teen offends something inside me, however. It just doesn't feel "okay".
I have no problem with mothers breastfeeding BABIES in public. Kids gotta eat, right?
Something about a kid over the age of 2 or 3 breastfeeding just creeps me out. It comes off as incestuous & pederastic.
That's just nasty!
My JW sister breastfed her children until they were 5 years old. She picked up that idea from somewhere within the JWs, but I never was able to locate the source and she never shared it with me.

I'm not sure which one was funnier the documentary or the Lil Britain skit. But I do think it is beautiful what that little fanily was describing. It may be unusual but it isn't gross to me at all. To each his own I say.
Both of our kids nursed till after 2 years but then sort of weaned themselves, they liked being at the table with us and learning to feed themselves. One morning I came out to the breakfast room and there was a trail of ants going up the wall to the ceiling over the highchair where a wad of something had been flung the night before.
Great. I was just getting used to the wife's.
