A question comes to mind: Woud it be wrong for a Christian to watch and enjoy the Science Channel. There's a really good Stephen Hawkings series going on now.

The truth is there is simply no evidence for god!
It seems there is mounting evidence that he really does not care assuming he is there at all.

Churces ARE charities....they receive donations for building churches and telling people what to believe. That's how they survive.
The fact that they support or run other charities just shows them putting their well honed skills to good use. But the MAJOR part of their charity work is to keep their own charity well supplied with funds. Christians often go on about the charitable work Religion does....so what? how about some of these charities? None of these are religious.
Besides....all of their good charitable work makes them look good....thus...encouraging more members to join THEIR charity/church. They have the charity thing down pat.

I'm not trying to insult you I am coming to a conclusion based off evidence. I have seen you parade these halls for so long and I have gathered enough information about you to firmly conclude that you skull is thick.

Yes, there are charities that are not faith based. What is it that you are trying to state?
I was countering a point that effort would be better spent elsewhere... other than building churches. That I get, but many churches are responsible for much charity work... therefore, money and time in those instances are being (or have been) spent well if those churches are serving those in need.

LOL...Facepalm.
My point is....If so much money wasn't being thrown at church charities and chuches, there are plenty of other charities that would benefit from that money. AND the money taken by the CHURH/CHARITY itself....just think what could be done with that money.
Churches are businessess and so are there charities...they are tax exempt...thats how they make money out of it...I do not believe they do it for the love of charity (other than their own) or god.
