Let's just say it and quit worrying about the PC angle. Some people are simply stupid. No offense intended to your anonymous friend. I think it was Jesus Christ himself who once said, "you will always have the indecisive..." Then he said, "I can't make up my mind wether to have the lamb or the fish..."

This guy in a degreed person- engineer right now, it's just when it comes to his personal life, it's always been a wreck- ( he was married once for two years and two kids, 30 some years ago)
One time he was all fired up to turn someone in at work ( several steps up on the food chain)- he was so-oo indignant about what he had gotten away with.
I asked him, Dave- is there any upside in this for you? " Uh,No" , is there any downside for you if you rat him out to corporate, " well, yeah, I could lose my job"
Then the decision on what needs to be done is a simple for me-- keep your mouth shut. That time, he did take my advice- and we took early retirement together about 5 years later. How can a mind so analytical about work , be so scatterbrained at home?
