I agree with the others who are urging some caution here - provided you still want to keep some contact with anyone in the JWs.

On the other hand, if you are truly over and done with them, then there is no reason not to go ahead with it.

but be warned, even if you were convinced by their answers you will be disciplined, so not being convinced you will be DF'd - but that isn't exactly a bad thing for you.

I love your conviction, you only began here a few months ago and you have completely opened your eyes!

I think the majority of witnesses will assume you are being DF'd for immorality. That's what I used to think. Just thought I'd mention that in case it makes a difference.

Hi MSGrowingGirl20, I wish you strength if your meeting with them becomes difficult or upsetting. Although I was just a study, I felt that my study conductor was not interested in communicating with me. No matter what research I had done, no matter what materials I brought, it just didn't matter. I'm not surprised...we've all seen it coming really from your story in your posts week by week.

Just be careful not to jump out of the frying pan into the fire. Well, you won't...there can't be another fire quite like the Watchtower...but there are many different ways of approaching God, Jesus and spirituality in general.

Don't go immediately from the Watchtower into commiitting yourself to something else. That's all. Give yourself all the time in the world to explore all kinds of thinking.

And, as others have said, well done for clear, honest thinking and seeking, and for courage!

I think I understand why you want this oppurtunity and I say GO FOR IT !!! You are right ,YOU have done nothing wrong . Putting your questions out there and confronting them with them can give you closure ,because you will see they do not have God behind them or truth . You really don't know this for sure until you give them the chance .

You already said you have no JW family ,so no problem there . As for 'friends', you will find in time they will avoid you announcement or not ...the ones that still have contact with will feel obliged to 'encourage' you back into activity . So I think for your own peace of mind go ahead with the discussion .

You have been warned of all the consequences ,but only you know what benefit will be derived personally by going through with this .
