TeaNY on Rivington (Lower East Side) is a really good vegetarian/vegan restaurant. Best Strawberry Shortcake Ever.

Serependity 3 is fun. It is not great food by any stretch. Fairly affordable prices. The frozen hot chocolate is a NY legend. The food isn't bad. So-So.

There are so many great restaurants in NYC and part of the fun of living/working here is to try as many different ones as possible. I think one would have to live to be 200 years old to be able to try every single restaurant here because there are so many different ones and there are always new ones opening up. With that being said my personal favorites are Blue Water Grill, Union Square Cafe, Diva's, Candle 79, Bellini
