    So does Ozomatli, Harm.

Manu chao was nominated in the same category as Ozomatli--best Latin Rock.
Like I said for my money they should've awarded Ozo the Grammy last year cause "Embrace the Chaos" is only ok.

    Hey check this out.

    * Coachella Music Festival (04/27-28) has some of all our faves including

    Bjork
    KRS-One
    Cake
    Ozomatli
    Siouxsee and the Banshees
    Cut chemist
    Rock Steady Crew

As well as some newbies like

    Ping pong bitches (?)
    Jurassic 5
    The Charlatans

Anyone who listens to Ozomatli or Jurassic 5 will know Cut Chemist and Chali Tuna.

Don't be too hard on yourself. 5 of 12 is still 5 better than God's Sole Channel of Communication ever got.

I became a big fan of India Arie's this summer, when she toured with Sade. She has a positive message and a powerful voice that fills the arena. I don't think even her album does justice to her voice. She really got snubbed. I'm sure she was thinking that with seven nominations she'd win at least one award. Still, it's seven nominations more than most performers will ever get.

Alicia Keys is undoubtedly talented. She wrote, arranged, produced, and played all the instruments on her album. She also took the album photo, made her own clothes, did her own braids, and changed a flat tire on her limo on the way to the awards. She's much more than just a pretty face.

I was really surprised that O Brother Where Art Thou won album of the year. But to be fair, I think George Clooney is a horrible, mechanical, wooden actor who gets paid to thrust out his perfect jaw, so maybe I was biased against anything to which he is connected. (I know many of you will say the same about some of the female leading ladies of our times, but I'd rather watch protruding boobies than jaws.) Still, I must admit that I was tapping my toes to the live performance... even if it did make me think of Deliverance.

I was disappointed in their selection of "Rock" artists.
It wasn't my idea of rock music.
Yeah AAF would have been good.
    Definitely overboard with Alicia Keys.
I got bored with it and flicked it after a while.

I heard OutKast won 2 grammys. That group is, imo, the most innovative in hip-hop. I'm glad to hear that they are being shown some recognition at that level finally.

Alicia Keys is waaay overrated, imo. Jill Scott is like ten times the artist she is. Plus, she tied Lauryn Hills record and her album doesn't have half the substance or hits that L-Boogie's had. WTF?

    ONE....
