My favourite was always Thomas. No matter how many miracles he saw he still needed to check it out and get the evidence for himself. Of all the apostles I'd trust his word over everyone else's.
The true, unsung hero of the Bible....

My husband was raised catholic, so he had to choose a confirmation name. He chose Thomas... for doubting Thomas, because he didn't believe the things that he was taught. I thought that was pretty honest and insightful for a kid to do.
Mind you, what Thomas doubted was the resurrection. He did not doubt Christ.

So tec/tammy , chooses to disregard ,ignore the OT where it puts GOD/Jehovah in a bad light and satan in a more favourable light and rely solely on the NT where God is the personification of love for his creation , and yet doesn`t the book of revelation show the slaughter of man woman and child , their blood spilt out because they would not kneel to this dictator?
tec /tammy What is the crime/charge against satan/lucifer in the New Testament, that is verifiable, and without refuting , that he should be maligned and ostracised the way he is today in modern society.
Keep up the good work tammy/tec the more you post here the more lurkers & newbies will see the" truth" for what it is

It does not.

That he will deceive and lead those outside the kingdom, against those inside the kingdom. To destroy them, a peaceful people. Note that the people inside the kingdom (in revelation) do not ride out against Satan and those he leads. And I assume that if you are using revelation to try and prove your point above, then I may also use the same book to prove my point here.

The truth in all of this is Christ. If you want to see God and know Him, then you must see and know Christ.

Satan is no hero. He just knows how to play the game against God, is all.
He told Eve the truth--she didn't die because of eating from the tree, she died because God blocked the way to the tree of life. And God himself acknowledged that Adam and Eve did indeed "become like one of us in knowing good and bad." So there goes that misconception.
But the fact is, just like God, Satan will kill if it's necessary to serve his purposes. I consider them both to be morally dark gray, and it's truly a sad thing to be stuck in the middle of a war between the two of them. No human is going to win no matter who wins.
But yes, the real bottom line is power, not love. Because only power can rule unchecked; love can ask for obedience nicely, but only power guarantees obedience. Unlimited power.
"There are no heroes. Mankind is doomed."
