A warning like that in the publications is becuase the heads of the company of the WTBTS don't want their followers thinking for themselves. So the internets becomes a bad, evil place. Some will obviously fall for it and steer clear of the nets and it's porn and others will use it, search it and come across sites like these and have their eyes opened. Hoorah!

By "decades", they have the classic "overlapping" card to play ...

The Internet became popular on December 1, 1996.
Sinister.Com was registered September 3rd, 1995, roughly 15 months earlier, and had been in 'full swing' since the beginning of November, 1995. When it started, sinister ran Slackware linux, with 40MB of RAM and 2GB of disk space, on a Pentium 90. The modem was a Hayes 28.8k bps one, connected via PPP to the ISP TIAC.net, with DNS provided by l0pht.com. That machine, much in its original condition, still exists in a dusty basement, as testament to those heady days.
Bishop James Ussher dated the creation of the world to Sunday, the 23 October 4004 BC. I think and hope that I am more accurate in my dating of the Internet. This page is far from complete.

I ran across this on the evil internet. I was using the internet before this while attending the University but most of the people I knew who did not attend school did not have a computer at home. It has not been decades as
the article states but we know the WT is not reliable.

The entire theme of this article scares me.I have not read many wts in years but the article makes little reference to Jesus. Paragraph 3 says that "Paul's admonition to "carry on as citizens" applies principally to those
who will rule with Christ in heaven." The entire article's focus is on listening and doing what the fds directs. I don't remember them writing that way years ago or maybe I just forgot. Then, of course, there is the threat of
"Soon God's Kingdom will be the only govenment ruling the earth. It will oversee all aspects of daily life, not only spiritual but also civil."(paragraph 16.) To me, that is a scarey thought. Thank goodness I don't believe them.
