Tragic and apalling. An innocent man murdered by the state the fact that it is so common is a cause for shame.

This is what makes the death penalty upsetting. The Innocence Project has freed so many with DNA evidence. No doubt exists that they were innocent. Courts have also restricted some access to DNA. I've been in prisons. Perhaps death is the easier penalty.

I agree with Band on the Run. I think the death penalty should not exist, on account of potential "mistakes" like this one.
