I don't think they are trying to come up with counter arguments to those raised on these web-sites. They know that their positions on many of these things are completely indefensible. Have you seen even one rebuttal to the attacks made here against the Watchtower Blood Policy? If the Watchtower would engage in an open dialog (live debate with their best experts or question and answer forum like this one) most JW's would tear up their blood cards.
The Watchtower has become total chicken since the days when Russel engaged in pulbic debate and "Turned the hose on hell".
Dear Dungbeetle, ***Do you care more about sensationalizing your website than you do about people like ME who are still 'inside'?*** Sorry that I gave that impression. I must confess that it is not the most serious and in-depth article you can find on my site. My intention is to provide serious and balanced information about the WTS and JW’s, not to make my website as sensational as possible, and not at all to harm people like you who are still inside the Org. I started this thread again because Kent wrote that he wouldn’t publish such log-files as I did. That surprised me a little because he is known for publishing articles that are most times (with all respect for him and his hard work –this is not critique but an observation) written in plain language while I am more moderate in my expressions. After reading his comments I asked myself: Is it ethical to publish log files like I have done to disclose the Watchtower’s tactics?
I know 100% for sure that the German branch PR-Department is surfing apostate sites. They try to ridicule the contents but I think they take it very seriously.
Some years ago, they also had in stock all the apostate books. Bethel elders had to be volunteers to read them - they did not want to give the impression to encourage anyone to read them. My latest info is that they have ceased to pay attention to apostate literature - maybe the volunteers began to question certain things?
I think what you did was fine. A JW will think nothing at all of spamming our emails.....and quite nasty emails we get, too. Remember Simon's nutter???
Why should you protect an organization that does not protect it's youngest members???
Good Work, Rado
Ana
