@botchtowersociety, I thought of the same song.

It's sad though, the Witnesses, especially in my family, are so conditioned to take in every word of the Watchtower Society. And they even say, even if,it's a thousand years from now,it's still the best way of life, yadda, yadda, yadda.

But,then,I said, well, isn't that view going against the basic teachings. Witnesses preach we're in the last days,so which is it. Well, they got angry when trying to reason with them,so I give up.

Armageddon has been right around the corner so many times,it's probably lost somewhere, made a wrong turn.

    According to dictionary.com:

    soon

    1. within a short period after this or that time, event, etc.: We shall k now soon after he calls. 2. before long; in the near future; at an early date: Let's leave soon. 3. promptly or quickly: He came as soon as he could. 4. readily or willingly: I would as soon walk as ride. 5. early in a period of time; before the time specified is much advanced: soon at night; soon in the evening. Maybe we should send this to JW's along with an article from 50+ years ago that said "soon". Maybe they'll finally put two and two together.

According to the Dictionary of Watchtower Usage , where we find the strangest definition of "Generation" anyone has ever heard, it says :

"Soon" In God's good time, as in "The End of this system is soon", real meaning... Never.

Well, in 1969 they said young ones should face the fact that they'd never get old in this system. I'm 60 now........and I don't think sixty is the new twenty......

    WBTS says: "its easy".

When we say "soon" it means what we want it to.

When you say "soon" it means what we want it to.

Just get with the program and "she'll be right mate..." (Australian expression)
