Scully, I am southern. I worked up here in the Cracker Barrel restaurant/gift shop. We'd get calls from the home office in Lebanon, TN. Whoever would answer the phone would not be able to understand the Tennessee dialect. The phone call would get handed over to me, because I was from the deep south. I couldn't understand the folks from home office either.
"That fella's about a half bubble off center" another version of "a few bricks shy of a full load"

I knew there was a reason I was drawn here after staying away for so long.
I love ya, girl!
Flying highnow; Sent by my job to work in South Carolina.
The first I had ever heard of the Cracker Barrel. My co-workers
introduce me to the best food I have ever consumed. I was
assigned there for 9 months. We ate at Cracker Barrel for
lunch, two or three times A week. I wish we had one here
in southern Calif. Great food.

It's a given that unless you have a great metabolism, you will gain weight when you work at Cracker Barrel. They add a lot of fat to many of their recipes and it usually isn't real butter. But it does taste good, though Michiganders just don't cook it the same.
