I entered the word ‘alumina’ as a solution in a crossword I was doing. My wife claimed I was making up words. I protested my innocence but she got very worked up, so I looked up alumina in the dictionary and it confirmed that alumina was, ‘synthetically produced aluminium oxide.’
She said the dictionary was wrong. Such is life!

I like to drink canned Pepsi. Before I drink it, I put it in the freezer for about an hour so that it can get super cold.
Yes, me and the hubby got into an argument about my putting my can of Pepsi in the freezer. Still not sure what the real issue was

I got into an argument with my mother about whether it was a good idea or not to give my 2 year old austistic son sauce on his spaghetti (she didn't think it was a good idea, my son was actually the neatest eater out of the bunch). Led to my father calling 911 and then telling the operator that he would call back if he needed him. The cops came anyway, quickly deduced that my mother was nuts, and asked if I was ok. I took my traumatized kids and left soon after.

Er.... you name it we have fought about it, verbally, of course.
I was just thinking - the mistake I constantly make is to try to offer practical solutions to be helpful, if she has a problem. I should know after all these years, it is not a solution that is wanted - it is sympathy ....
