A young man from the east coast (US), travel too
Belize to deliver some goods from the states. He
was there one week. He called his company and
told them he resign, he told them he is not
coming back. I had met him when he arrived, and
he told me he loves the place. And he said the women
are very attractive, he was in love. Yes the women are attractive.
Also make sure you don,t miss the jump up, (dances).

shamus100: " There are still tribes that have not been contacted in those jungles."
How do you know there are tribes if they havent been contacted yet?
Caye Caulker is cool, really small island and really, really laid back. Placencia is great as well, some great cheap hostels and some amazing hotels. One is called the Turtle Inn, it's owned by Francis Ford Coppola, writer and director of the Godfather movies and Apcalypse Now. It's expensive though, but a quite a treat. There are some AMAZING caves near San Ignacio, ATM cave is a must do. The whole San Ignacio area is amazing, you should go there. And take the local chicken buses, they're cheap, fun and the most authentic way to see the country.
I will say though, that Belize was one of my least favorite countries in central America. But it was still great. Too many amazing places to go to, too little time.

I was there, although I did not personally go see the headhunters.
It's an area of nearly impossible vastness and is just plain awesome.
Google is your friend if you are interested - I don't have time to provide links.

I have never been there but my friend and her husband used to take people there for scuba diving. They loved it.

Lived on the main street in San Ignacio, rented
the home from the mayor of San Ignacio, (nice guy).
Help build the KH for that city. Located on the hill.
Preached to the Maya in the bush. Travel down the
river, walk to the isolated area of the Maya and
preached (one week). Breathtaking in the bush.

Thanks for sharing the photo, Wha Happened.
The movie, "Mosquito Coast" was filmed in Belize
I saw the KH in the city. It is very poor.
It has a strong Mennonite community that produces food for the country
