Candace is overwhelmed by the love and support that is being poured out to her and I'm a bit overwhelmed too by so many kind words directed at me. I feel sure that any woman in my shoes would have reacted the same as I did and still do to what I discovered twenty years ago. My circumstances, due to the support of my wonderful husband, have made it possible to keep at this since 1999 and I feel gratified that my efforts were not in vain. Sometimes I would get discouraged thinking that WT always wins, but that thought would pass when I'd get another email through my website from a JW or XJW who was pouring out their heart about the harm they suffered at the hands of abusive elders, molesters, or the WT religious machine. Then I'd get mad and get going again.

Candace's mom told me that Mr. Simons will be interviewed by Anderson Cooper on CNN soon. I have no date or time as yet, but when I find out, I'll immediately start a new thread with the announcement.

It was one lone Boston Globe reporter that broke the RCC pedophile priest scandal wide open back in 1993 and here we are in 2012 seeing that same newspaper carrying Candace's story that speaks volumes for all the kids molested at the hands of JW molesters:

Jodi, I thank you for being out there with your loving support for me and for Candace. Your words to me are extremely moving and it's people like you that elevate my spirit and propel me on.

Candace went the distance for other-than-personal reasons. I do understand why there are those that take settlements with gag orders somewhere along the way just to move on with their lives and put things behind them. But every now and again, there's someone who needs to do more. Candace is one of them. Barbara Anderson, you are one of them. I know you weren't offered any settlement, but you followed your heart when you learned so much and helped so many others.

It's been great that JWN was informed as things were not even out in the press yet. My JW wife, just the other day, asked me what me and my facebook friends discuss. I sent her the first available link to this Oakland, CA breaking news and said that was something we discussed.
