A few years ago I sent information about the

abuse in the wt organization (shunning, molestation,etc.).

I sent it to the editor for the religious section. A mistake, they

proably felt, A disgruntle member, or you may have someone

who is sympathetic with the JW,s faith.

Last week, on page 6, under associated press, molestation case.

Now with the latest news ($1 billion assets frozen), suggestions

in making sure it gets in the right hands. I want my local

community to know who these people are, knocking on

    their doors.

If I'm not mistaken, the frozen assets thing is standard and can be lifted if the defendants post a bond one a half times the judgment.

Just email the papers editor. I, myself, make it a point to email all key staff members of any news org. They should be listed somewhere on their websites.

The thing with doing this though, is you really aren't sure if it's being read or auto-read and replied to.

So the best way for YOU to make certain it does indeed get out into YOUR community, is do it yourself. BECOME THE REPORTER.

Just set aside a bit of money for fliers. Then POINT, CLICK, PRINT, DISTRIBUTE.

Easy. Then step outside your door and get to work. You'll need tape or tacks. Good walking shoes. Determination. And the attitude that YOU ARE DOING A GREAT SERVICE IN YOUR COMMUNITY. Walk proud and loud.

    GOOD LUCK!

    flippy, anything to add?

We simply can't keep WAITING ON THE PRESS to handle this.

    A big deal for them.

The religious reporter may not have too much interest in a scandalous story - depends on the city you are in. DO you have a local free weekly that likes to write human interest stories - expose corruption? We had our local 'rag' like that do a cover piece on the witnesses. I am going to look up that reporter and (1) give him a call, outlining the story, and the verifiable information I will be sending along, and (2) sending the files by email. News outlets have no problem hooking you up with the voice mail of the appropriate person. I have gotten 2 stories in the news via this method - one on Global National TV here in Canada, and another in an American newspaper about a local molester in their town (yes, I facebooked the reporter!!).

GOod luck with it, jam! * FIST PUMP *

I am always available to help, if you want to brainstorm. Am good at this stuff. ;)

smiddy; That,s the problem. it,s not that important

to the average reader. But we must keep trying.

Phone reception, ask for email addresses of the Religious and general editors and send them your information, tell them you would be happy to be used for an interview.
