This is unbelievable. Another doom day magazine. We never said
the world was coming to A end in 1975 or any other date. But
trust us, it is coming very soon. This can,t be true (doom day mag.)
They can not be that stupid. Do they read thier own material. I
think each week there is A different writer, he has no idea what
the previous writer wrote. So he have A dream, he is 85yrs old, hell
the end must be soon. These people are worst then child molesters,
there is no hope for them.
Interesting that it's the September issue. In America, the month will be full of 9/11 memorial programs. Perhaps they were banking on it.

Doomsday ... yep, we are so very close to the end now that God's Organization says if a student is not responding to the urgent message after six months the study should be canceled ... errrr ahhhh wait, that was 43 years ago ... never mind
*** w69 5/15 p. 312 Have You Been Studying for Six Months? ***
In view of the short time left in which to do their work, Jehovah's witnesses do not continue to study the Bible with any who fail to respond to its urgent message within six months. The nearness of this system's end compels them to use their time in the most effective way possible. So they feel obligated to spend their time calling on someone else who might respond by attending meetings at the Kingdom Hall and by speaking to others about the Bible truths learned. Thus it may be that if you have not as yet responded by even becoming a regular attender at some of the congregation meetings, the one who is studying the Bible with you may cancel that study arrangement in order to give his time to someone else. This arrangement is not meant to be harsh, but the urgency of the times in which we live demands it. There are millions of persons who need spiritual help and God's servants want to reach all they possibly can.
What about the indigenous American religion that predicted that the 'old system' would end in 1975? And implied it would end again by either 1984 or 1994? This same religion, itself an offshoot of other millennial groups of the mid to late 1800's, also has changed it's interpretation of the 'generation' of Matthew 6 times since 1900, all in an attempt to forecast the end of the world, or 'system', as they describe it. This religion and others like it have large numbers of people who personally forsook long term planning in the mistaken belief that since the 'system' would end soon and the new 'system' would usher in paradise conditions, they did not need to plan for retirement or have much needed medical care and procedures. This religion, and others like it, promoted an end times view linked to a shared misunderstanding of the nature of apocalytic literature in the ancient world, and an acceptance of the bible as history rather than wartime literature from a persecuted religious minority.
I saw this picture on the web and it reminded my of JW's.
Can't think why..
