That's all it takes, Glander. You're so right.
Thanks for the reminder and for your lovely posts to this thread. They have surely helped me so far with today's "rough patch."

I love the mental freedom. The pursuit of whatever interests me with no gullt I have removed the concept of wasting time from my life nothing i do is in that catagory. Thanks to the wtbs I have become a better thinker because they made me realize something I'd been doing all my life that I just didn't see. You make a mistake that big and you get the point. I understand why people grasp at anything to explain life but i know now that it's okay to not have an answer at least its better than a fantasy or a lie.
I've been getting interested in eft tapping lately we will be attending an all day seminar on it in august. I've been trying it and am actually feeling improvement we'll see how it goes. The edgar Cayce ctr here constantly has unusual speakers if it's weird they have it and it's fun and interesting. We listened to a man named Dean Radin and his research we went to hear Joe Mcmoneagle on remote viewing.
We also have many weekend lunches by the water several weeks ago we chartered a boat ride from Captain Alan on the york river we didn't want to fish just tour around he showed us the people working to save the bay oysters and it was great fun.
The organization always tried to make you feel guilty if you were enjoying something that wasn't "theocratic". Towards the end of our foray into Jw land we were getting sarcastic if someone told us they went to the movies or whatever we would laugh and say "i think I was praying and reading the watchtower while you were doing that worldly thing" alot of times they would laugh back because deep inside they know.
Glander: What a beautiful snapshot you wrote. It brought me back to a novel by a Pacific Northwest author, David Guterson, called "East of the Mountains". Have you read any of his work? His most famous, I think, was "Snow Falling on Cedars".
Coco: "Back to the patio and watching my trees sway in the breeze, their gentle susurration filling my empty soul ..."
Susurration. I really like that word. Almost forgot it existed.

Thank you, Open mind. Yes, I have read that great book, Snow Falling on Cedars. We get some picture postcard scenes all around us year round but winter snow can be very spectacular...until you hate it!
As CoCo and others have said, the natural beauty of life is a resource for emotional energy if only we take the time to observe it and put things into perspective.
When I left the first time, I went to live with a friend who played guitar. We started our own 'band', and within it I played bass. We played a few gigs out in los campos and a couple in the city. I loved the night life and the new people I met. After about a year, I ended up leaving my country and was eventually out of practice. Shortly after I came back here, I started renewing old friends and acquaintances and picked up the hobby again. The same old friend gave me a Spanish guitar during my clandestine birthday party a couple of years ago and I've been playing ever since. It's quite soothing and creative for me now, whereas before it was a way to get out and have fun. When I get my own place, I'm going electric.
LMSA: " When I get my own place, I'm going electric. "
I'm assuming that will include an increase in volume?
Both (acoustic & electric) are great, IMO, depending on the mood.

I have my wife lick the fruits from the tree of knowledge of good and bad and it no longer becomes "down" time.
Rub a Dub
om: You betcha! Nothing exceeds like excess!
How do you deal with your "down" time?
Target practice at the range.
