If a nuke hits Washington, will your life change?

  I picked up some interesting tidbits in various news reports:

  1. This sub-surface "shadow government" is a complete government deep beneath the earth that is replete with full Congress, FEMA, CIA and other elements operating in tandem to the above-surface government in D.C.

  2. Detonation of an above-surface nuclear device in the D.C. area would trigger a seamless switch to the duplicate government operating beneath a radiation proof shield.

  3. In a worse-case scenario of nuclear devices detonated at the United Nations and capitals of other nations, the "shadow government" is capable of governing joint nations.

  Could a rapid escalation of these events lead to a one-world-government solution provided, not by the United Nations, but by this new "shadow government"? It will be interesting to watch as events unfold in this unprecedented time in human history.

  I haven't really had the time to delve into the possible parallels in the advent of a "shadow government" from within one of the world's greatest superpowers to prophecies in the book of Revelation, Ezekiel, etcetera. However, I wouldn't doubt that those following world events are desperately trying to piece together these latest developments in light of Biblical prophecies that were foretold thousands of years ago.

  Armageddon itself is likely not on the immediate horizon, however, because specific signs that indicate its approach are just not evident. Even the Watchtower Society is backing off on its doom and gloom predictions that earned its trademark "real soon" slogan. ;-)

  Sure it would change. Life for all of us worldwide would change instantly.
  It would be the first nuke used in warfare in over 50 years. It would not be the last.
  Bush has already bluntly hinted more than once at the use of nukes. In the present state, even the attempted use of a nuke against Americans would be justification for the U.S. to respond accordingly. I believe respond we will, kind of a "you want nukes? here's your nukes motherf$#@&*r!".
  Sad but true. I don't want to see it, but I would support the decision. For years now, a nuke has been the "Excalibur" many of these terrorists have been seeking. If they do attempt to deploy one or more-and I do firmly believe "they" have one-then unfortunately the only recourse left is to escalate the war on terrorism into a nuclear war.
  That said, yes life would change. There would be a massive death toll, the east coast would have nuclear fallout, and the visible government would become invisible.
  Of course we'd have marshal law. Our lives would be heavily curtailed. Curfews. Military checkpoints. Those of us in retail would take a big hit. Probably a scenario like what was in that movie "The Seige" except nationwide instead of in only one city.
  The aftereffects would be devastating. The way I see it, one nuke could not only kill hundreds of thousands but also cripple our economy for years.

  now we are learning that Washington DC is being surrounded radiation and gamma ray detectors which would tip off the Delta forces on standby that a nuclear weapon had been brought into the area.

  That's not a sure thing. If a nuclear device is encased in a lead shield or concealed by as little as ten feet of water then it can escape detection. That's what I read on the subject sometime back anyway. There are many ways that clever men could get a bomb into the country and even into D.C.

  The government concedes that they do expect a possible nuclear strike by terrorists.

  Yes, of course they do, certain segments of the Anglo-American establishment have done their best to organize, arm, fund, and provoke terrorits into attacking. That's just how the demons run their system.

  Anyway, nobody is certain if it will or will not happen but I was wondering what kind of effect do you think it would have on this country and on you personally if a nuke does get detonated and say kills 100,000 people or so.

  In the event of a nuclear catastrophe it would without question immediately spell the end of the republic of the United States of America. It would simply cease to exist at that moment and something quite monstorous would take its place---No doubt fulfilling George Orwell's vision of the future resembling a human face with a boot imprinted on it. More than anything it will allow the demons to scrap the legal and democratic institutions that have protected Jehovah's Witnesses in many lands. It will give them the opportunity to get in our faces BIG TIME! To which we say: "LET'S GET IT ON!"

  Do you think we would have a repeat of the behavior that was typical in the 9/11 terrorist attacks? Namely, that people would stop working, and remain home glued to their TV sets; that they would be even more fearful of traveling; and they would become even more patriotic and give a blank check to the government to do whatever it wants to get revenge?

  Jesus said that the whole world would suddenly be ensnared in a trap to the extent that men will simply faint with terror. At some point the Devil is going to try and blow his world up much like a defeated sea captain would attempt to scuddle a sinking vessel. After all, it is his system to do with as he pleases to the extent that Jehovah allows.

  If so, do you think we would nuke Iran, Iraq, and anyone else we didn't like or do you think it would be just a continuation of the current strategy?

  It is pretty much a given that those nations have already been targeted for annihilation. The Axis of Evil doctrine is just the most recent articulation of a policy that was formulated decades ago. Actually, the whole region of South Asia is targeted for destruction. It has been the policy of certain Anglo-American policy-makers to provoke a war in Asia. Zionism and other radical elements within Islam and Hinduism as well as within Evangelical movements, have been the tool that they have used to provoke such a war when the time is right. Apparently, with the financial system on the verge of imploding, the time is right to commence WWIII.

  I personally feel that if such an event happened here, our government would slaughter millions with nuclear weapons for revenge, regardless of their guilt or innocence.

  Actually, since Asia is the most densely populated part of the earth the death-toll will probably be in the billions. We are after all talking about the end of the Devil's world and the demons are not just going to go off quitely into the abyss. As a matter of fact, there are a number of prophetic books that go into a bit of detail on the history of events yet to occur, but we won't go in to those quite yet. / You Know

  Interesting comments and regardless of how things played out, it would certainly not be something any sane person looked forward to happening. Of course unless you are an eschatologist and want to see the world end.

  Washington and New York are the favorite potential targets for a nuclear attack, even though there are ways of dramatically increasing the number of casualties with a single weapon by using it in a more rural area (for example knocking out a large dam, that would cause several cities to be wiped out in the flooding it caused) or to make things even worse they would take out a nuclear power plant and the resulting longterm radiation levels would make several metro areas uninhabitatable and forcing millions to relocate.

  There is even nastier scenarios that a single nuclear weapon can cause but require a missle to get it into near space, and this would be the EMP effect that would wipe out all electronics for most of the country. Even your car would be useless, unless you had an older diesel engine or installed protective shielding on your car. While this method would probably have a much lower body count (anyone flying would be dead meat), the end result would be much more expensive and the entire economy would go down the tubes overnight. The USA would suddenly lose its place in the world economic game, but would still be a major military force and would likely still turn the Middle East into a giant ashtray.

  I'm sure they have developed war games for such an event but I bet they are not pretty to look at.

  Personally, I hope there are no nukes involved at all.

  By the way You Know, I don't think a lead shield would stop the fast neutrons from escaping the U235 that is used in making a nuke. Lead stops radiation and gamma rays but both water and graphite are used to slow down and capture neutrons in say a power plant but then this is pretty thick as well. Perhaps shielding could be devised to stop it but it would be pretty thick and heavy. No guarantees though that that the Delta Forces could find it.

  It would seem reasonable IMO that Washington would probably be the last target. I would think L.A. would get nuked first. That would cripple a major portion of the countrys ability to not only fight back but it would pretty much stop transportation of goods accross the country. We would have to start learning how to live off the land and end up being another third world country over night.

  If you have yahoo messenger installed, there is a FREEMASONRY/SECRET SOCIETIES voice chatroom up nearly everyday now. I have got "to know" a few of the chatters there and at times, other women are present too. The conversation is never dull.

  It's like the jw rooms in many ways. Lots of secrets their organization never reveals to the lower degrees/flock. Yet, lots of denial re: CFR, Bildebergs, Illuminati, Globalism vs. Nationalism, BUSH chat (hahahahaha, oh boy, it gets real fun then), "etc.".

  Wow, you guys have been playing too much Deus Ex!

  (And, if not, why the hell not? Best PC game ever made - it's an action/rpg game with a good plot dealing with a conspiracy involving FEMA, the UN, the Illuminati, Area 51, French Underground, terrorists, etc. etc. Boy, it's loaded, and 2 years old to boot, so it's in the bargain bin in most shops).

  In any case, I belong to a couple mailing lists with more than a few particle physicists, weapons engineers, and naval officers on them. (No, I'm none of those, but many are involved in writing SciFi pen-and-paper simulations as realistic as possible, and that interests me). So, although I have no first-hand knowledge of what I speak, I do correspond frequently with those who do.

  First, the EMP weapons would suck. But, their range (at the car- and computer-breaking lethality) is VERY short. Hundred miles at most, from low orbit. High orbit gains you nothing, as the Van Allen belts absorb most of the radiation. Low altitude gains you nothing either, the range decreases quite a bit. IIRC, an EMP detonating at ground level in a major city only had a 12-mile effect zone. It is important to note these weapons are a LOT harder to make than regular nukes, too.

  Second, radiation detectors have advanced in sensitivity quite a bit in the last few years, and we can fairly safely assume that terrorists will not have the resources to both build and properly shield a nuke. I think the precautions in place are capable enough to detect one entering the 'protected' cities. Whether or not anything can be done about it once that happens, though....?? (Aside, of course, from evacuating the government)

  You are obviously NOT Asian. Do you really think Jehovah will destroy billions of the poorest people on the earth. JW's have only preached thoroughly to the richest third of the earths population. Where is the justice in that? What does Jehovah have against the poor and asians? Or are you one of those JW's who would ruthlessly invoke community responsibility.

  One of the problems with JW scenarios is that they are Anglo-American -centric. There are more people in China now then there were in the whole earth when Russell started the Watchtower.
