My forecast is that in the Western world, there will be many disallusioned members that just decide to quit, or fade. I think the number will be significant. It will be well past 1914+100 and nothing has happened. It will be inexplicable to try and defend.

The main points from Conventions, Assemblies and Special days will be the same as now; endurance, faith, keep in expectation, etc. If you don't, you better examine yourself. What's wrong with you.

The growth will be experienced only really in the third world and developing countries. In the western countries the membership will be in serious decline and with them the money. The contributions from the third world and developing nations will be insufficient to support the existing organization's infrastructure, so cost cutting measures will be employed. The expensive Brooklyn Heights Real Estate will all be sold-off and the move to the country complete. The tax free capital gains will be the treasure chest.

Direct references in published material and discourses to 1914 will be diminishing if not totally eliminated by then. There will still be an embargo on higher education, but that will be eased-off of publically because of the prevailing circumstances of decline. The education topic will be just internal chit-chat among the BOE when decisions of appointment are being made.

Sadly, there will be countless disappointed and disallusioned members-exmembers, all because of what they were told and read. No excuses or appologies will help, or reverse the situation. Don't bother.

The WTS will be in the process of reinventing itself, as a social organism seeking survival even if it doesn't realize it.

Ten Years From Now .......

..... Will be 2022. Armageddon will be imminent. Time to join God's side will be short. Higher education will be counseled against, demonized. Materialism will be scorned. Armageddon is imminent. Independant Thinking will be highly discouraged. Association with non members, especially inactive and former members, railed against. Armageddon is imminent. A more centralized supply of information from top down will be in place. Outside information discouraged. Disparaging reports about the organization from worldly media will mean Satan is attacking. Positive reports about the organization from worldly media will mean Jehovah is blessing their efforts. Armageddon is imminent. Property will be sold, land bought, more secluded operations constructed. Oh Yeah.... and Armageddon is imminent.

Pretty much the same as it is now...

Ten years from now? Hmm... well, look at how fast mobile internet devices are gaining marketshare. Even in third-world countries. People are carrying around blackberry's, iphones, ipads with data plans, android tablets/phones etc. The internet won't be the death of the WTBTS, but it will continue to bleed it's numbers and give exposure to them.

Now what I see happening...

The current Conti case goes through it's appeal process, losing, the gain even more bad press, and more money to pay the damages. In the meantime, more people will come forward with abuse cases, possibly another Conti, maybe a couple more than that. These will be huge hits to the WTBTS warship.

Growth will come to a drip. Not even a trickle. Western countries will start having its growth stop and reverse. I can see them hitting 8 million and hover for a few years while more abuse cases and gaffe's continue to blow holes in their ship.

I could also see them getting taxed in this time. Another financial hit.

Another change to blood transfusions. New light stating it's a conscience matter. This would be a huge hit to their ship as well. Lot of fallout.

I see a huge doctrinal change coming. Either with bringing in a new GB member that is charismatic and or the three "commanders" of the GB sticking the ship into overdrive, more hardline, more paranoia, more propaganda per usual.

The change to DC/CA will happen in the next 5 years I think, 2 day DC, 1 day CA whether they keep the SAD or not doesn't matter but I see that going away in ten too.

Everything is now downloaded to your tablet and bring that to the meeting to study along. Maybe some app for tablets from iTunes or Android market that lets you download and donate all through the app store. This allows selling of the print machines and only keeping enough to print for the 3rd-world countries.

Conventions/assemblies are now only in assembly halls. No public venues.

I also think WWIII will happen sometime in the next ten years, throwing some serious "trials and tribulations" for the witnesses.

Heres my stab in the dark.

The hidden ruling powers have been exposing us to the idea that 2012 something bad will happen, they of course will arrange it so but hope we wont blame them but say, "yeah, it was written in the Mayan calander.

Maybe they will let off a big bomb at the Olympics, blame it on the usual suspects, and start WW3, this will end up with a Global Goverment.

Or/and, the banking crisis will get so bad, all economys will fail, and only a united world governmant and bank will save us!, (they have allready stated this is our only hope, a "New World Order"to save us from economic collapse).

This New World Order is the 7 headed Beast, it will turn on Christians who dont worship it including JWs, they will be most suprised as they think they had their persecution in 1919.

Babylon the Great, which is Jersalem/Zionism/International banking, will be destroyed by this NWO in 2018, this is 70 years since Babylon the great took control of Israel back in 1948.

Jesus will then come, judgement will start with the House of God, will the Watchtower be considered part of the House of God along with the rest of Christendom?

Or will it be considered a false Prophet and be hurled into the pit?

Whatever, as an organisation it will not exist in its present form in 10 years time, it will either be cleansed and made good, or will be destroyed.

the watchtower society / j=dub dumb--is--in reality--just a tiny insignificant religion in the big wide world--blown out of all proportion by its members--and ex-members who spend far too much internet time bemoaning it.

it could vanish without trace tomorrow--never mind ten years time---and the rest of mankind would never even notice.

The ones with access to the funds will be in the process of siphoning off their share before they disappear off the radar.

This will be triggered by investigations into the shell corporations to find where the assets have been hidden to avoid having to honor the judgements against the organization, taxes due after their tax exempt status has been revoked.

Their control of information will be gone decreasing their retention and conversion rates, the blood and shunning policies will be eased but it will be too little too late as the decline accelerates. The communication technologies the Watchtower were slow adopt will allow the younger and born-ins to compare thoughts and notes unmonitored. This exchange of information will allow an organized resistance among the members, either forcing change or a spiral toward extinction. The enforced abstination from higher education will provide easier to control members but reduced donations.

The scandal from the disappearance of funds will cause the collapse of both the central printing operations and central control, will result in schisms in each geographic areas where the remaining adherents will have commonalities and the local leaders will have less insulation from the remaining members, but absolute unity will be a memory.
