He's gone to that big "Mayberry" in the sky. Emit has the keys to the Pearly Gates that he stole off Don Knotts and Aint' Bee is waiting with a big ol'slice a pie.
Did you ever hear the lyrics to the theme song?

I think I must have but haven't heard it in a long time.
The show's theme music, "The Fishin' Hole", was composed by Earle Hagen and
Herbert Spencer, with lyrics written by Everett Sloane, who also guest starred as
Jubal Foster in the episode, The Keeper of the Flame (1962) . Whistling in the
opening sequence, as well as the closing credits sequence, was performed by Earle
Hagen. One of the show's tunes, "The Mayberry March", was reworked a number of
times in different tempo, styles and orchestrations as background music.

You mean he was still alive?
Heard he snubbed "aunt Bee"'s funeral when she died and in person he was kind of an a-hole. Total opposite of the humble, kind character most people picture him as. If so, good riddance...

I understand that Frances was actually a bit psycho IRL.

Sounds like nobody on the set got along with her all that well.
Not that I know anything about Andy Griffith's real personality. But I wouldn't judge him for not getting along with a woman that many others couldn't get along with.

Amazingly, the right-wing blogosphere (Freepers, Breitbart, Blaze) is wishing him to burn in hell due to the fact that he publicly supported Obama and the ACA. Unbelievable.

I wish I could find the psychiatrist bit from No Time for Sargeants.
The guy in the shades is Hal Holbrook (Mark Twain Tonight!):

^ Now that I look at it again, true--Murray. They looked a lot alike back then.
