FINKELSTEIN - JWs see these changes as a 'sign'. For instance, talking with my mother about the Society leaving Brooklyn for USNY, she said,"They must know something we don't" - i.e. something disastrous is going to happen to NYC. Heard this sort of sentiment from quite a few; frighteningly, it is a result of their minds being primed for years with visions of "the End"

An 8 day vacation in NYC, that would be several thousand for a family of four!
Even 3 days in a hotel room is easily $300, plus food in restaurants. That's alot of money! Especially for a group that doesn't want higher education!

When Jesus said "this generation" he apparently meant that lives of some of the anointed who witnessed the start of Jesus presence in 1914 would overlap with some of the anointed who would experience the end ... there is no need to bring up past understandings from a hazy mirror (1 Cor 13:12) ... God's Organization is on the move, keep up or you will lose out.
Oh ... just because 100 years is a century by name, it still is just 36,525 days, so far there have been approximately 35,650 last days since October 1914, so what is another 875 days, big freaking deal .... whiners.
