I think they may actually be ballsy enough to do a "1914 - 2014: God's Kingdom Is One-Tenth Over" Watchtower pamphlet cover.
Just to say "Hell no! We're not at all embarrassed over this!"

I think the Watchtower is some sort of idol to these people!

100,000 present? Where does that figure come from?
Here you go, y'OldHippie:
w85 1/1 p. 17 A Centennial to Remember
It was like a smile of approval from Jehovah that weather conditions for this autumn day were ideal. Thus, the crowd of 37,733 at the stadium could listen in comfort and with appreciation. Telephone tie lines carried the program to 34 Assembly Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses in the United States and in Canada, where another 59,715 listened-making a grand total of 97,448 in attendance. All of these were provided with copies of a colorful 32-page brochure-style program as a memento of the happy event.
"[N]early 100,000."
Thanks AnnOMaly.
Yes. That is where I got the rough figure from of 100,000.

"Happy event"? Sounds very much indeed like a birthday celebration.
"Happy Centennial to you! Happy Centennial to you! Happy Centennial Dear Watchtower Corporation, Happy Centennial to you!"
Does anyone have a scan of that 32-page brochure?
Scan? Looks like Marvin has a copy, VM44. Offer him a beer ...
I had completely forgotten about the WTS Centennial celebration back in 1984. From what everyone has said here, this was nothing more than an overblown birthday party! But, of course, the b-word was never mentioned lest it give rank-and-file attendees the wrong idea.
With 2014 approaching, an interesting twist the WTS might take is "One Hundred Years of Kingdom Rule: What Has Been Accomplished?" They have two years to prepare something. Will they ignore the hundred year anniversary when October 2014 comes around? I don't think they can even if they are smothering all talk about it presently. I think the WTS will put some kind of positive spin on it, telling Witnesses that with a century of kingdom rule now in the books they can surely anticipate an end to the present system directly.
On the other hand, a lot can happen in two years and the Governing Body may find its hands full with other matters that are of greater importance. We'll have to see. Perhaps, as some have deliciously put it, since the king and kingdom are both "invisible", maybe an "invisible" celebration might be best.
