What Kingdom Halls do the governing body attend? My guess is they go to private meetings. It is very clear the rules that apply to all JW's do not apply to them. They are above the law. Matthew 23: 8-10, " But YOU , do not YOU be called Rabbi, for one is YOUR teacher, whereas all YOU are brothers. Moreover, do not call anyone YOUR father on earth, for one is YOUR Father, the heavenly One. Neither be called ‘leaders,’ for YOUR Leader is one, the Christ. " (NWT) If we only have one leader, Christ, and ALL the rest of us are "brothers", how do a group of men called the governing body fit into the picture? These men have appointed themselves as "leaders" in the place of Christ Jesus himself. Is not calling someone a governor the same as calling someone a leader?
Is it possible to attend a KH with a GB member in it?

They were assigned to congregations in the area...it depended on their age and health. Many attended at the Brooklyn Hts congregation near Brooklyn Bethel. There was a KH on site at Wallkill (once called WT Farm 1). I understand many work at Patterson and would go to neighboring KHs. Believe it or not, they are theoretically just another elder on the BOE especially now that the "Bethel elder" category was phased out.

Historically, all the GB members have attended the Brooklyn Heights congregation, not far from Brooklyn Bethel. Anyone can go to that congregation's meetings, but of course there are limits to how many people the building can hold.
I assume that is still the case but don't know for sure.
I recall hearing breathless stories of Bethel visitors who attended a meeting at that Kingdom Hall and gushing "Brother XYZ was just 3 rows in front of me! His comments at the meeting were sooooooo deep!"

So sir82, all the GB still live and work at Brooklyn Bethel. I was told that they might have been moved out to Patterson.

Thank you Blondie,
Well it is clear they are above the law as they make the law themselves. If they are so easy to access, it surprises me nobody has attacked them physically. Of course, to do that, you would need to be as judgmental as they are and most people are not.

I believe they are all still based in Brooklyn.

When I was at Brooklyn Bethel (1994-2000), multiple GB members attended meetings at the 107 Columbia Heights Kingdom Hall. I have personally attended meetings there, and I can confirm that they were in attendance. (Swingle, Barr)

I've listened to a recording of an assembly talk by Anthony Morris dating back only two years (2010) in which he describes himself as living in Brooklyn. I assume this is still the case for all GB members, and that they only meet at Patterson periodically. After all, Brooklyn is still officially the World Headquarters until the complex at Warwick is completed.

I attended meetings there when I was in town. As my Bible Student grandfather would say, they all put their pants on one leg at a time.
Will Ferrell as Bruce Dickinson:
Bruce Dickinson: Easy, guys... I put my pants on just like the rest of you - one leg at a time
Bruce Dickinson: Except, when my pants are on, I make gold records -

Hi Cedars! Well they are different then the Pope in this regard are they not? Openly accessible and not hiding behind bullet proof gla$$. I would say this is proof they really do believe they have been appointed by Christ but what do I know?
