The Watchtower acts at the prodding of the almighty, recognizing the place the Organization in the fulfillment of God's Divine Plan of the Ages. And the fulfillment of these prophecies pant to the end. It will not be late. The United Nations, the image of the beast, the disgusting thing that causes desolation, in deviance of this divine plan, attampts a premature unification of the human race. Their action is reminiscent of the action of Moses, Prophet of God, who himself was nurtured in Egypt, the antitypical desolate wasteland, and a lure for God's people to flock to in the time of distress. Moses exercised the deisre to rescue the children of Israel, a fine initiative, but one in opposition to what was then the divine plan. He was made to flee the land, waiting patiently for the prophetic word to issue forth for the glorious dawn of the delieverance of God's people.
Did Moses' action exactly picture the current stance of the United Nations? No! For while Moses, whom the scriptures gave the testimony of being meek, carried out his attempt at deliverance with a mild spirit, and quietly submitted when the first attempt at resolving issues failed, the United Nations, the image of the beast, carries on haughtily, spurning all warnings by the remnant of the anointed. The United Nations procalims itself as the Saviour of the human race, and our precious earth.
Recent pronouncements by the symbolic human head of this organization indicates a verbal attack on God's representatives. The head of the United Nations, himself a human of flesh and blood, failing to recognize the place of God's people in these momentuous times, voiced the gloved attack on the efforts being made by publishers of the good news. Whether this is a prelude to the much awaited all-out attack on true religion is yet to be seen. But be sure that the prophetic word pants to the end, hurrying to its fulfillment. It certainly will not be late.
It should by now be clear how clearly the efforts of God's worshippers differ clearly from the united efforts of human governments to bring about peace and security. The one is in accordance with the spoken word, the fulfillment of prophecy faithfully uttered, the other, a satanic diversion from the hope to restore what rightfully belongs to all lovers of righteousness and peace.
Carefully note, however, that God's people do not enact punishment on their fellow humans. Being lovers of peace, they try to live quietly, while accomplishing the greates educational work to be carried out in human history. This should be counted as a privilege, and undeserved kindness, since we do not live in such times when the punishment for workers of what is bad might be physical death, but we do wish that all those going into eternal destruction, nay, spiritual banishment, return to the fold of true worship according to the hope we share.
