  I find it incredible that the public doesn't know this. The Watchtower Society is showing callous disregard for the rights and safety of the public.

  I really think we need to make an effort to get the word out. The Watchtower Society and child abuse are in the news now, especially with the Candace Conti case and the recent actions of Anonymous.

  Do you think we can get a newspaper interested in covering this story? All we need is one and it could go viral.

  Perhaps we can gather the documentation of this practice and discuss some ideas. What do you think?

  Of course, here in CA, JWs make a note of sexual predators in their area by checking the web where the info is availble (thanks to Megan's Law), and adding them to their database of addresses which are handed out to publishers.

  I won't make any snarky comments about whether they do so to recruit them, or to avoid them... (ohhh, I think I just did). ;)

  I find itincredible also JW are sending child molesters door to door!!! Hello wake up I want to scream. When I learned that the hall I was going to had three pedophiles in it I was shocked. Then this one pedophile insisted he was going to work door to door with my husband who was an elder because he was an elder. I was beyond ticked off. NO WAY IN HELL was that going to happen.

  My husband was going to be passive aggressive and wait till the child molester actually did met for service and then just put him with a different elder. The pedophile had been saying he would go door to door for months since he moved into the hall and he never showed up just talked a huge talk. I was pissed off at just at him saying he was going to work with my husband. NO WAY was it going to happen! So I went to the CO and asked really if this pedophile truly did try to go out in service would he seriously would be allowed to? I told the CO flat out I did not want a child rapist in my car that I helped pay for. I had been molested myself as a kid and I did not want a man who had been in prison for raping a kid to ride in my car.

  The CO told me I needed to get a handle on my emotions and yes the child molester COULD AND WOULD go door to door!

  I even called Bethel and told them I had talked to many worldly people and no one wanted child molesters at their door. I then asked the "brother" on the phone' how are we better then the Catholic church?' The so called "brother" on the phone was pissed at me I could clearly tell in his voice and he said slowly to me 'Sister LITS are you saying the Catholic church is better then us.' I said slowly black to the "brother" that 'I handed out a tract showing a Catholic priest and that the tract said some religion condone child abuse. How are we better then the Catholic church?' The "brother" at Bethel repeated himself and said again to me 'are you saying the Catholic church is better then us.?' I said 'let me put it to you this way when was the last time you ever knew or heard of a pedophile Catholic priest calling on anyone you know? In my hall we have three child rapist going door to door.' The so called "brother" at Bethel said 'thank you for calling sister LITS and hung up on me.'

  DT I have went to my local paper, the local the TV news. They wanted me to get them a victim someone to say they were harmed by the pedophiles. They do not want the story unless I can give them pictures and names of people and such. I tried to get pictures but the elders pulled one of the child molesters after I finally talked the TV news crew to try film him so they could get the story. Look at Barbara Anderson's Dateline in 2002. The show did film a pedophile "brother" going door to door. Yet that was again in 2002 and here we are 2012.

  I just truly do not get it. I tell everyone I know about JW's sending child molesters door to door and everyone is ticked at it but that is as far as anyone seems to want to go. It is like well thank you for telling me and I will make sure not to let my kids answer the door to them anymore.

  People are in their own little bubble and the JW's even though they think they are such huge fish in the pound are really not even on the radar of the world. Everyone I talk to thinks they are a stupid little harmless cult and that is how I have been treated. They are truly glad I have told them about the pedophiles going door to door but hey they have a soccer game to get their kids to.

  People are just really busy in their own world, their own lives and JW's come around once or twice a year to bug them. So why worry about the silly little cult.

  I am sorry I wish I could offer more but I feel like I have been hitting my head against the wall for the last couple of years feeling the same way you do, I just do not get it.

  Thank you for your comments. I thought it was noteworthy that the latest video from Anonymous mentions the practice of sending pedophiles to people's doors. This could make it much easier to get some news coverage about this dangerous practice.

  I really and truly hope that Anonymous can do it. It just makes me sick to think that pedophiles are going door to door. It is just crazy. I just cannot understand how the JW's get away with it.

  One of the pedophiles in my hall was declared a sexual psychopath highly likely to reoffend from his court records. I sent these court records to Bethel since none of my elders would read them. Even with this BETHEL still let the guy go door to door!

  I just cannot wrap my mind around it. How is that legal?

  I made a thread about the "Great Teacher book showing a five year old child fending off a rapist in her own Bedroom and some on this board even such as JT and Fleaman defended the picture saying I was 'as Fleaman said to me he was trying to show the "show the sheer absurdity of people like me."

  Really because I thought showing a picture of a child alone in her bedroom fending off a rapist was over the top I am now absurd? How can anyone think that way?

  JT said Lady Lee had culled parts of the book. The book clearly says in paragraph three page 170 "However, sad to say, some grown-ups like to have sex with children. When they do, boys and girls may begin to do bad things that they have learned from these grown-ups. They also begin to use their sex organs in a wrong way."

  Justitia Themis said this is what was taught to her two little girls in school and that she read the book over and over to them and that as to quote her I was using ( Desperation nonetheless >bad decision-making >illogical arguments.)

  The book clearly says that if if a child were molested they "MAY BEGIN TO USE THEIR SEX ORGANS IN A WRONG WAY." "THAT THEY MAY BEGIN TO TO THE BAD THINGS THAT THEY HAVE LEARNED FROM THESE GROWN-UPS." These kids were RAPED what part of that is so hard to get through to ones like JT and fleaman. To tell a child that has been RAPED, RAPED, RAPED as it seems so hard to get through to somr, that they may then begin to use their sex organs in a wrong way is OK WITH them! OMG It makes my head hurt!

  I could not sleep last night thinking of the pain that these kids go through and to have stupid people like JT and such come back with another thread defending yet again the stupid words of a book that blames kids for being raped is crazy.

  I only pray that Anonymous can break through and get the file with the names on it.

  This very point was made on NBC's "Dateline" over 10 years ago.

  I don't know how much more attention you can get beyond primetime coverage on a major US network TV show.

  I too am befuddled that it didn't cause much of a stir back then.

  I was part of a letter-writing campaign to every elected Member of Parliament (over 1000 letters) around the time of Dateline and The Fifth Estate's program of the pedophilia problem within the JWs.

  This was when JWs were still having the Book Study™ in private homes, and assigning pedophiles who were known to the Elders™ into the homes of unsuspecting families for this weekly Meeting™. We received numerous replies, and I received one very concerned phone call from the office of the MP for Nunavut who was absolutely shocked and thought it was terribly disturbing that JWs were sending child molesters Door-to-Door™ and allowing them to attend Home Bible Studies™ and Congregation Book Studies™ without the knowledge or consent of the homeowners.

  Most MPs replied cordially with a thank you for alerting them to the problem. The most disturbing reply came from Vic Toews, who is still a MP today. He claimed that pedophilia was the crime with the best hope for rehabilitation, and with proper treatment, has the lowest rate of recidivism. I wish I'd kept his letter and the paraphernalia that accompanied it, because he's the very same MP who tried to paint Canadians who oppose global internet surveillance of private Canadian citizens by the police as being in league with child p0rnographers.

  I found your comments interesting and appreciate what you have done to let people know about this problem.

  It's hard to believe that people don't care more about this. It sometimes takes a strange set of circumstances to get the public to care about something. I'm encouraged that Anonymous sees this as an important problem. It's always possible that increasing coverage of the child abuse problem within Jehovah's Witnesses will reach a tipping point.
