Amazing how WT silences their own apologists, advocates, members. And it's not just on the Internet. The last several I crossed paths with in the ministry had simple, canned presentations to just distribute WT corp litteratrash. There was no effort put into an actual conversation with a householder. And the dubs were more than happy to walk away if the person said they were busy or not interested. Most demonstrations are little more than quoting a prescribed introduction and holding out literature. Demonstrations of handling questions are just quoting from a publication. The sheeple aren't expected to have brains. They're drones.

Agreed. It's in the clear interests of the Watch Tower Society to flood the internet with as many pro-JW and pro-Watchtower websites as possible. That they get forums like this one shut down through "admonition" given from the platform (and, in some cases, intimidation from lawyers) simply shows how inept they are at dealing with the internet, and how seriously they misjudge their task of meeting the challenges posed by anti-JW or anti-Watchtower websites. When it comes to the internet, they need as many friends as they can get - but they keep shooting themselves in the foot.
They really don't have a clue. They're almost making this too easy.

The lovely thing is that sooner rather than later, yet another JW will see a 'need' and start another one, and the WT will have to get them to shut down...

It is beyond apparent that most JWs now preach simply so that they can write a report at the end of the month and stay afloat. If you question them or engage them after they regurgitate their initial prepared introduction, they look at you for about 5 seconds with a glaze in their eyes almost in disbelief that someone actually asked them a question. They then usually give a generic answer about the subject with very little detail. If you ask for more detail, they usually don't know and offer to come back after consulting their books.

It's funny. From a Search Engine Optimization perspective the Watchtower are shooting themselves in the foot.
By asking JWs to remove their sites they are probably removing tens of thousands of quality, one-way links to the official site. The only thing that will do is reduce the official site's google ranking. Then (apostate) sites like this one will fill that void.
