I was raised in it, my family has been in the org for a few generations so it was just kind of expected to get baptized ect. I was active in the congregation, I really kpet busy to get my overbearing stepfather off of my back. I was pressured to become a pioneer, that only lasted for a few months. As i got older I started reading older publications and seeing things that didnt make sense. around 16-17 I found myself seriously questioning everything. I saw elders sons getting drunk and having to get picked up and not an eyelash was batted. I also was struggling with coming out a gay. I slowly faded out and was eventually D/F/ I have not seen my family in seven years.
