The Doors were British?
@jamesmahon,
The wife loves TakeThat, and after having to listen to them for years (decades?) and seeing them in concert, it kinda rubs off on you.
Its only a matter of time before Gary Barlow gets knighted.
Maybe i should swap them out for Sham 69.
Mumford & Sons
I think they are British, no?
I won't go over everyone else's choices but Queen, the Beatles, the Stone Roses, Joy Division and Fleetwood Mac would be in my top choices. More recent important bands would have to include Coldplay and Keane.
Oh but then there's Radiohead.
The Monkees with Davey Jones.
The Beat/General Public
UB40
The Police
Bronski Beat
The Eurythmics
Haircut One Hundred
Simply Red
Nik Kershaw
The Rolling Stones
Squeeze
Erasure
Def Leppard
David Bowie (coolest man in the word)
My favs anyway...
My top 5 are as follows : 1. The Beatles
2. Led Zeppelin
3. Pink Floyd
4. Rolling Stones
5. Jethro Tull
Peace out, Mr. Flipper
