    Hey Band..

That's brilliant...I met George Harrison and few years back when I lived in the UK. His house was

burglarized and I was the court reporter covering the trial. The guy got convicted. It was a bit

    of a media circus....

George and Olivia's Harrison death struggle made news here. The press reports I saw were shocking but did not go into much detail. Recently, HBO ran Martin Scorcese's tribute film to George. I could not believe how bad it was. They fought so hard for so long for their very lives. He was stabbed repeatedly. It lasted quite a while. His wife and son's faces revealed so much just talking about. I had no idea how extensive his injuries were. He was always afraid of gun violence in the United States, many years before Lennon's assassination. Dhani Harrison said his father was just getting back on his feet from throat cancer. The family believe that the struggle weakened him so much that he had no reserves left and lung cancer happened. And the mentally insane person goes ro a hosiptal rather than prison. I wonder how many Beatles fans are in prison.

May I ask how he appeared not on official Beatle duty? Was he emotive?

I wish I had his faith.

My eyes are peeled in Manhattan to meet Paul. A look or wave would be enough. I have all the Beatles albums from when they were first released. Funny b/c I hated their more sophisticated music. They seemed to peak at Rubber soul and Revolver. Sgt.Peppers-I just did not like it. YOur tastes change with time. I remember when Sgt. Pepper was released. It was the universal soundtrack for every store in Greenwich Village and other neighborhoods. I don't recall any other album peaking the way Sgt. Pepper did. Maybe it was when the first fans managed stores and later owned.

I recall John Lennon's memorial service in Central Park was covered live for its entirety on ABC. People remarked that we officially took over the establishment that day. It was supposed to herald great change, the full coming in of the age of Aquarius. What a joke! I believed it.

My gf saw Paul and Linda, exchanging sheets in a long line at the main BLoomingdale's They waited in line for about forty-five minutes with everyone else, never complaining. She said they looked bone weary. As someone who has been in line, myself, it is hell. She never acknowledged them.

I may find celebrities interesting but I want to continue to see them. NYers play so cool as though we are equals. I recall Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton saying how they were dying to meet the Beatles and have a prof'l chat when the Beatles first arrived in London. Only a few clubs were open late so everyone went for pub life. The Beatles stayed only to themselves for a long time. They wanted to meet other musicians but were afraid. Eric said he would die before he played groupie/fan. I have not acknowledged many stars. First, often I am uncertain whether they are who I think they are. They are so different off stage. I don't even smile. Paul may be the single exception to the rule. I would not acnkowledge Obama at all. Paul, I hope I would have some restraint.

BAND ON THE RUN- I hope you get your wish ! You are a huge Beatles fan as I am also. Always have been. My son treated me about 7 years ago on my birthday to see Paul McCartney and his band live at Sacramento. It was the best concert I ever went to. About 40 songs lasting three and a half hours ! Awesome concert. Paul also stopped by and on the spur of the moment played at a small bar in the Sierra town of Truckee as he and his " then wife " were snow skiing in the area. He was such a cool, real, easygoing guy. And Ringo is very similar, just a great dude

Ringo is clearly the sweetest. I enjoy seeing Paul bristle at the others' remarks b/c he is so much like me. Paul is controlling and driven. I can understand his frustration. He is so defensive............................................................. It is great entertainment. When I have to deal with such a personality difference in my life, it hurts me to the core. I cry and cry. It is not entertaining in my life.

I am a Beatlemaniac too! They had me the very first time I heard them on KRLA radio in Cali, "I Saw Her Standing There".....my heart still beats faster whenever hear anything Beatle. I just saw Ringo in concert with his All Star Band in Or. He really likes to showcase other performers and it seems they all have a blast while on his tour.

I have a stairway / hall that we have made into our Beatle Gallery. I framed all my original Beatle LPs, ragged covers from carring them with me at all times. Also a poster I got at Capt Records on the anniversary of Johns death. It was a candle lite affair. Every ticket and piece of memorbilia I have from childhood. I never tire of walking down those stairs and singing a little "I Want To Hold Your Hand"

As far as getting an autograph, that would be cool but from what I understand Ringo does not give out his autograph unless it is to support his charity The Lotus Foundation. I could be wrong but that is what I heard from an art dealer selling is paintings. I got the Postcards from the Boys too, Adorable.

Hope it works out for you but even just a brush with anything Beatles is worth daydreaming about. Peace and Love
