I firmly believe they are victims of victims. I was a victim as most of us here were the only difference, is that those of the GB gained a higher station in the organization than all of us here. We all believed at one time so I conclude that they also believe, and any doubts that they incur are immediately suppressed because the position that they hold requires it. But there is a price to pay for this type of suppression of doubt and I think Anthony Morris is our new poster child which confirms it, seeing children's toy as demonic and angering the Jealous Jehovah.

After spending an inordinate amount of time pondering this very question, I have concluded that the GB members are all True Believers TM in the "theology" of the WTBTS. This means that they think they really are fulfilling the role they publish.

Can you imagine what that would do to your mind to be invited to join the GB? (Assuming you've been drinking the Kool-Aid all along and believe that JWs really are The One True Christian Religion). They are victims of the mind-control that suckered all of us in. We were all just smarter/stronger/less-gullible/whatever and able to see through the inconsistencies, incoherencies and down-right hypocrisy of this "religion". These guys were not.

As for who is in control? Who knows, not me.

"I think God, he stole the handle, and the train it won't stop going. No way to slow down." - Locomotive Breath, Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull)

This is a machine that was set in motion long ago. It moves of its own momentum. It's similar to governments. The current GB have inherited a structure and belief system that is self-perpetuating. Does it really matter how much real power or influence the WT Legal Department or Accounting Department have?

The fact is this: The GB publicly state they are the God appointed leaders of this religion. (Don't even get me started on their insipid "we are not leaders ..." bullshit). This alone makes them morally culpable regardless of who, if anyone, is really running things.

Are they ignorant? Ignorant of what? That they are NOT Who and What they claim to be? IMNSHO, I think they really, really believe this shit.

Does that mitigate their guilt or responsibility? Not at all! It is a well established legal principle in most societies (including the WTBTSociety) that IGNORANCE OF THE LAW IS NO EXCUSE.

So their guilt remains. All the more so as they are so quick to condemn sin, error, falsehood, inconsistencies and weakness of others.

Are they evil? Absolutely! Awareness of the wrongness of one's sins is not a requirement for them to be classified as evil. We're not talking about lions eating antelopes. When they do that they are acting on instinct. They are merely animals. The GB claim that Christians are a stark contrast to that:

This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is [the] earthly, animal, demonic. - James 3:15

Yet these [men] are speaking abusively of all the things they really do not know; but all the things that they do understand naturally like the unreasoning animals, in these things they go on corrupting themselves. - Jude 1:10

So in summary I would answer yes to both:

YES, the members of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witness are IGNORANT, and

YES, the members of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witness are EVIL

    Governing Body EVIL or IGNORANT???

    Both...

With a super-tanker's load of arrogance thrown in.

    I would say EVIL. Definitively.

Changing words in WT Library is purposeful deceit from what they originally wrote. Pure Evil

DF'g kids because they speak out about the abuse. Pure Evil.

Double talk and double standards to the demise of everyone else. Pure Evil.

    The list goes on...

But for them to crap on themselves and get mad at Witnesses because they say "somethine smells", pure arrogance and evil. According to Christ's words to the Pharisees, which they fulfill, what does their own Bible say they are?

I'm reminded of this quote...........especially considering they are sitting on the libraries, the artifacts, the documents. I bet they don't want to look.....

Also....what would you call people that go to great efforts to make millions go to people's doors teaching them things they either know to be wrong or in the very least, are not sure if they RIGHT..... but send them out anyway........with the result being people die, get sick and are damaged????

To illustrate, what would happen to you if you falsely yelled fire in a theater?

    Yeah.....

    Evil.
