About three weeks ago I told a friend about the UN thing, no-one else, I had known for months but didn't tell her till she brought up a similar subject. I gave her a printout from a Guardian article, I have only had a short terse text message since. I know she has a lot more to lose than I did, and I stopped going to meetings last year. My question is this; if she tells the elders and shows them the article (I would not deny it) could I be DF'd. I no longer really care, but if that is the case I think I would want to tell as many as possible as much as possible, to enlighten them and also so that they would'nt hear some garbled rubbish gossip excuse for me being DF'd, as is usually the case.I also know some stuff about the cong which I know they don't want the outside community to know and the might think I'd tell.As you know, if the cong is led to think I'm looking at those evil apostate websites they wont't believe a word I say. My non-JW husband thinks I should send them all copies of the articles, or nail them to the KH door, but that might be a bit extreme. What do you think?
Do you think I'll be DF'd now?

I don't believe you could be DF'd for showing someone what is public knowledge, at this point. And the Guardian article and also the postings directly off the the UN's website cannot be used against you. However, if they DO get you into a "meeting"... I'd bet that they ask you the million dollar question: "Do you believe this is GOd's organization and the the GOverning Body is the Faithful and Discreet Slave?" It's up to you how you might want to answer that. Other's on this board are MUCH more knowledgeable than me as far as how to handle the situation. (Avoiding them is always a good thing... ) : )

I think Jerome may be able to answer this one.

Hi Meat Pie, I don't think they have enough on you! Referring to the press re. UN stuff is probably not enough. They could use it as an excuse to discuss things generally in which case they may elicit further information from you that would result in your DA/DF'ing. Keep us posted.

1.paranoid people, believing that god tells them what to do are capable of anything.
2. luthers dramatic act (innailing stuff to the ddor of the church) made his point very clear.. really a good idea i think and not im practical!!! the WTS believes in the free flow of information, they say that when their literature is banned, and they could not be hypocrites, could they????
could they?

Hi there....I am a gay ex JW in Sydney, Australia, and when I found out about the UN stuff I was so happy I had some dirt on them ...I told everyone....and still do!! My former wife who left the cult too....told her family and they did not want to know about it...happy to live in the "lie"...we are not...we are now free.
Most people know that they are supposed to be neutral....and this proves mass cover up...dont think it will be covered in the District Assembly programs...lol
If you get the boot ...be busy telling others the real truth...IMO..

Follow the lead of Martin Luther. Nail your theses to the Kingdom Hall door. Who knows the outcome? Might start another Reformation!
Happy to see your participation Meat Pie.

They only believe in the freeflow of information one way....from the FDS or the GB out.
