Bush is crazy, hes stupid, hes arrogant, hes hot-headed, stubborn, tactless, and above all, a bush. Just like his daddy before him, they are running the country to disaster. I cant wait until this bufoon is out of office. He shouldn't even be there in first place.

Bush seems to be driven by a fundamentalist religious fervor, coupled with a growing belief in his own press. I suspect he wants to be the last President in power before he and God work out a time-line deal on Armageddon.

    belbab:
Although my comment was in reaction to happyman's post the question was, in fact, generic.

I must have missed his original posts, because I don't make it a habit to heckle people learning English as a second language.
It wasn't until his second post of the thread, with the irregular spelling of "jehoca" that I looked at the country of origin.

    happyman:
Sorry, about the language thing, my bad.
On the religion thing, you're missing the fact that only approximately 1% of JW's claim to have Christ as their mediator.
With no "covenant for the earth", inaugurated with blood by a mediator, it leaves the other 99% up sh*t creek without a paddle.
This is a far more fundamental issue (IMHO) than pacifism, since going to war will only get you killed in body.

You want to know why I think voting is a worthless action and why it doesn't matter if people vote or not? We have a president who got less votes than the loser that somehow was able to get the needed electoral votes because of some miscounted ballots in a state that his brother is the governor of. What does he do when he gets in office? Appoints a man (John Ashcroft) to a position of great authority after that same man lost his bid for senate to a dead man because they would rather have virtually anyone representing them rather than Ashcroft.
Say what you will about Bill Clinton's moral character but at least the country was in better shape when he was running it.

When are you people going to wake up? Instead of bashing Bush, why not think about why we are engaged in the fight in the first place. Granted, I feel it is coming some thirty odd years too late, but it is here and we are faced with it. Past administrations, Democrat and Republican, did little or nothing to combat International Terrorism. Sadly, it took a few thousand deaths, not only American, incidentally, to see where the world is headed.

Singing Kum By Ya and Give Peace a Chance has done very little to curtail the activities of the Radical Muslims (as well as Radical Jews, Irish, White Supremists, etc,)over the decades. You cannot ignore these people, they will not just go away.

Do you really wish your wives, daughters, and mothers, to be treated as the Taliban and Al Queada treated their women? I wouldn't wish that on anyone. People as they deserve to be defeated for the safety and dignity of the world.

Instead of whining about who is the White House, why not ask why other nations, especially so called European Allies, are so reluctant to combat terrorism. Of all nations, they should be ready to fight it and eradicate it at it's source. They have had more than their fair share of terrorist attacks and they will not cease as long as people turn a blind eye.

War is not pretty, but neither is jets containing innocent civilians slamming into large filled buildings and seeing them topple. What next? A suitcase nuke? A ship filled to capacity with expolosives going off in an international harbor?

You want to link Enron with Bush? Are you aware that Enron's downfall started under the Clinton administration? Maybe if Bush lied under oath about his activities he would be more readily received?

JWs say they want no war, yet they are thankful for the GIs that freed their bretheren from concentration camps. Like it or not, war in inevitable nowadays. As earlier said, it isn't pretty and no one hates it more than those of us who have fought in them. But, if not for all the millions of men and women who throughout history, have gone off and laid their lives on the line for your freedom, you wouldn't even have the freedom to be bashing Bush or any other president.

For those who think Bush should not even have been in office, I say do a bit of research. Even with the Dems blocking thousands of military abstentee ballots in Florida and the Supreme court voting the way they did, independent recounts went on. The final tally showed Bush won, regardless of all the whining by Dems. All it takes is one more vote than your opponent and you win! Bush received hundreds more. It may have been close and maybe even controversial, but all the counts still showed he had more votes.

Intead of bashing Bush so often, why not start thanking veterans that you have freedom to whine. He never dodged the draft nor did he serve as a reporter in Vietnam and claim to be a veteran. Even though he was in the Air National Guard, they were called up frequently and sent to Vietnam.

Who knows, if he was sent over, maybe he could have had bodyguards as Gore did.

I think this is a poor characterization of Bush and the US in general. The UN and NATO both agreed that the US is well within its rights to self-defense after the brutal attack on Sept. 11, 2001. Also, consider the fact that the “innocent” people who are being killed are actively supporting, subsidizing, and protecting the terrorists. If you want to point out the few innocent people who are caught in the crossfire, that is an unfortunate consequence of war. If people want this to stop, then I suggest that they stop bombing non-combatant civilians in the US.

Regarding the 30% taxes on imported steel, this is called a tariff and is very common. It is a well-known fact that the US has the lowest tariffs in the world - when we decide to raise one of them to the international norm, everyone cries foul.

Happy man, I would suggest that you take a deep breath and relax. It is clear that you feel powerless and frustrated, my advice: Don't get all bent out of shape. This only leads to irrational anger and irrational anger leads to terrorism.

This world does not revolve around you and your personal needs – if this is what you want, then feel free to (try to) take the title of Dictator.

I don't say this to be mean or spiteful, I'm just trying to share with you the knowledge and wisdom I have gained in my life.

Relax. “Anger leads to the dark side.” (Sorry couldn’t help myself.)

Happy Man, maybe instead of bashing Bush, you all should look at the man closer. I am well aware that Europe doesn't think much of him. I have a close friend in England and she shares your view. However, she also knows very little about the man or even American Politics. Or, Americans in general, for that matter.

Possibly, you could compare Bush to Roosevelt in 1941. Although of different parties and ideologies, both are faced with a situation that threatens world peace. Now, if Roosevelt had just ignored Hitler and told Europe to deal with it themselves, what is the possibility that you would be goose-stepping today?

Be glad that it is America that is wielding the power instead of the Soviets. America is far from perfect, but is also content to not manipulate the rest of the world with that power. It wasn't America that was attempting to take over Europe after World War II. Nor is America trying to over run and conquer Afghanistan today.

Yes, their fighting in Afghanistan. But, if the Taliban and Al Queada are not defeated, where could they wield their ugly terrorist activity next? Stockholm is not exempt from their acts, either. Although late in coming, this is a fight for what is right. Any nation that abhors terrorism should be aligning themselves with the US and defeat these radicals. It should not be America alone fighting them.

Rest assured, Bush is no more an enemy of Europe than Roosevelt was in the 1940s. Instead of being jealous of America's accomplishments, why not join in with her and shoulder to shoulder, defeat these terrorists and have a safer life for your children?

Sigh, if only we had a true leader like Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt or Al Gore.

    Happy Man,

Do you vote? The WT said you could, but the CO's say you can't. I really, really hope JW's DON'T vote.

Bush enjoys THE HIGHEST approval rating of any US president in history (90%) of the US. Even liberals have changed their tune in post 9-11 and are glad that Bush is president. If Gore were president, we would all be doomed. Let's face it.

Do you know what these "Jihad" believing muslims believe? They believe that ALL people in the world MUST believe like them, or they all will die. I am not exaggerating. Figure it out: JW's and most of Sweden would be killed (or convert) if men like Osoma Bin Laden got their way.

Fact: The Jihad Muslims in the Sudan have killed 2 million Christians. What has Europe done about it? Europe is so wrapped up in its socialist anti-god thinking that it can't even see straight.

The only thing standing in the way of Jihad Muslims and the slaughter of many 100's of millions more is the US. God Bless America.
