It is almost crawfish season. Would anyone be interested in an Aposta-Crawfest here in the DFW area?

Before I start doing any legwork on this I would like to get a head count.

Best wishes, elsewhere. Unfortunately, I live "elsewhere".

We just had our Minnesota apostofest on Saturday. We had almost everyone turn out despite furiously cold winds!

We'll be with you in spirit!!

don't tell joy or peaceloveandharmony they will eat all the crawfish, but then on the other hand if joy brings wine than she can come. I will bring chickenwings, ummmmmm wow they would go good with crawdads and wine and beer and beer and wine. what day and where? Dam if its in the US then I can;t make it. But you could ship me some crawfish and I will have a Louisana Boil here.

Would definately be in. Missed the last Apostafest at Valis' pad, so this sounds great. Besides, I'd never pass up the chance to get a little crawfish head!

No details yet... I want to get a general head-count before doing anything. What I can say is that it would be best to do it in April or May here in the Dallas area.

There are two basic ways to do this:
    1. Buy some live crawfish and a boiler and boil them ourselves at a park. (I’ll handle the boiling/cooking details)
    2. Go to a local restraint and have the gathering there.

    Which would you prefer?

Being that crawfish now cost about $5 - $7 per pound, I will need everyone that comes to chip in... I miss the days when crawfish only cost $0.20 per pound live. (Oh no, I’m turning into my dad: “Why when I was a kid it only cost...”)

When ordering, I will assume that each person will eat about seven pounds of crawfish – Yes I know that some of you 10 – 20 pound eaters will scoff at this, but remember that there will be others that won’t eat all of their seven pounds!!!

    OFC, I heard that!

btw, OFC, aren't you up north somewhere? you are not anywhere near Dalla/Ft.Worth, so don't go saying I'll eat all the crawdads unless you can be there and share in the fun! :-p

Dave, sorry, not in that local, either. Hope you guys have fun. It sounds like the Texas apostofests are really a happening place to be.
