I have e-mailed him again, passing along other's good wishes. Haven't heard anything back, but I am hopeful that he realizes he is not alone in this.

He told me yesterday that he got to talk to his daughter for a couple of hours and things went well. Unfortunately he can't bring up the doctrine because his wife is in the hospital room too.

He is being shunned big time and labelled an apostate. Also the Witnesses lawyer and HLC members are being real idiots.

He is also running out of money to fight this legal case. He is considering setting up a trust fund for people to help his legal fees - seeing he is just about broke.

His daughter is doing okay right now. The treatments seem to be working.

The whole thing is just really sad but thank Goodness he figured out that the Watchtower's blood doctrine is bogus. His knowledge has helped save his daughters life.

Thank you for letting us know how they are doing, Hawkaw. I, too, look forward to meeting you. I'm so glad that the daughter's medical condition has stabalized.

Does his daughter have a court appointed lawyer representing her? The legal shenanigans can be ridiculous, and one party can drag things out deliberately, knowing that the other party has limited funds/resources to pay legal fees. How many millions or was it billions did the WT Corporation make last year? Considering that, I hope the child welfare department is able to provide legal services and expertise to match those of the WT's lawyer. It is certainly unfortunate that sometimes "justice" goes to those who have the best finances.

I think the WT has their own lawyer for her.

I believe the Alberta Childrens Aid or whatever its called (I forget) also has a counsel representing her.

I hope it works out for the dad and I hope he gets a hold of you soon.

Good morning hawk,
Just to let you know that I have not heard anything at all from the Dad. I will leave him alone unless something changes. There has been nothing new in the local papers regarding this case. I hope others have been able to contact the man.
My greatest fear is that the daughter's condition will deteriorate, and the father will blame himself for going against "Jehovah's Will". At least, he made sure that she has a fighting chance.

I don't know why he hasn't gotten back to you. I know he has received your and my Emails seeing he told me so on the phone. Why don't try giving him a call seeing it is a local call for you. Call him at work.

With respect to his "will". He has taken off the "rose coloured" glasses. The wild part is him telling me that the Hospital Liaison Members will allow Witnesses in Calgary to have one whole blood transfusion but no more - What a stupid double standard.
