  This Sunday, August 26th, 2012, is Besse Cooper's Birthday. Besse is the oldest verified living person. She will be 116 years old on Sunday!

  Here's a pic from a few years back:

  

  As a problem for WT "Theology", there are currently only 70 supercentenarians, that is people still alive over the age of 110. There are only six people still alive that are 113 years old or older. In a few short years they'll all be gone.

  Evidently, this is what prompted their change to an "Overlapping Generation" as the explanation for what Jesus meant.

  But even Besse would have been only 8 in 1914, so she would not have been "old enough to discern the meaning of that year".

  James, Besse was born in 1896.

  1914 - 1896 = 18

  She graduated from East Tennessee State Normal School in 1916, and worked as a schoolteacher in Tennessee before moving to Georgia around the time of America's entrance into World War I in 1917.

  Oh, sorry - must have added it wrong. Maybe the Watchtower geniuses could have waited a few more years before the "overlapping" generations teaching.

  Wow - my mother lived to be 106-1/2 and she was born in 1896. I often referred to her as part of the generation that did pass away.
