Hi notperfectyet,
Welcome to the board.
I've also been inactive for the past 2 yrs.
I did recieve 1 phone call from an elder trying to get me to meet with them. But I decided not to.
With all of the reading about the WTs from the past posts, how do you feel about the org.now?

Hello - not perfect yet,
we are glad you like the board - we have a lot of fun make some serious points and enjoy each others humour.I have come on under my real name - I know it's a bit boring but that sums me up. I have been disassociated for 16 years and no elders have asked why. Neither my own parents or my wifs are brave enough to ask why. The reason is simple - Fear of the unknown.
all the best

Hi Trevor,
Did you give them a formal letter of disassociation or did you just walk away?
I thought about giving the elders a letter but I decided against it.
I feel to do so would be giving them authority over me.
And with all i've learned about the WTS,I will never be under any kind of authority by them again.

Hi Neyank,
In answer to your question - No, I did not write to the elders I just walked away. I had resigned from my responsibilities without reason and then moved congregations after marrying a Witness.
I deliberately kept a low profile and never really got as involved in the new congregation. Less and less meeting attendance. Less and less to say. All those years as a pioneer only to realise I had been 'had.'
Fortunately my wife felt the same and we just called it a day - without a word. I have spoken to many Witnesses since but only when they ask me to talk. They will not really. listen unless the conversation is their idea.
all the best

Hi NPY,
Glad you joined, I'm new to this board, also. I find it a wonderful place, I'm practically addicted to it. I've had a long sorrid life in the walls of the watchtower, and look forward to hearing some of your stories, or should I say TRUTHS. lol. Everytime I say the word TRUTH, it makes me laugh. But as many can say, it feels great to be able to finally LAUGH at the TRUTH.
Welcome and looking forward to your TRUTHS.
Happy to be Free (Me)
