    1. Establish absolute control.
    2. Diminish, belittle, demote, or fire detractors.
    3. You are left with an obedient crew who will hustle to do your every command.
    4. Your organization is now effectively as intelligent as you are. But never more.
    5. Any ingenuity from the ranks is suppressed.

I've told you how he reminds me of Rutherford. An establishment rebel. I'm not saying the comparison is absolute.

Sure an organization can be run on the ingenuity and the intelligence of one strong leader. Like I said, it has its advantages and disadvantages.

Right, Jgnat. But you admire Google. Google. Yeah. If O'Leary's business model fails, so will his business. It's just that simple. Goodnight, and do enjoy your overpriced fares.

Expensive fares. Fuel costs money. It's properly a highly regulated industry. Me, I like WestJet, another discount carrier.

Short-term success can hide deeper problems. Hence my Pacific Lumber example. We'll see if this company survives it's founder.

Different geographical market. Apples and oranges. It could be a valid comparison if they competed in the same market.

Ha. If you look at the competing Air Canada vs Westjet saga, you'd have some deja vu.
